Lost and Found!

She was lost but today she found me.    It was while feeding the birds that she suddenly showed up.   She had been missing for quite some time or so it seemed.

When I looked there she was moving beside me.    Upon seeing her I realized others were finding  returns too.

These weeds found theirs...

One of my friends looks like she found hers.

Even though it had been 11 degrees below zero this morning by afternoon the sun brought us up to 16 !    Do you think that may have been why our shadow friends decided to come home?   So glad they did.    Hope yours are found too!

Have a wonderful evening and God Bless!

Winter's Sojourn

I am making the most of winter's sojourn.

Keeping warm!

At this time of the year my dreams keep me warm.    The snow may pile up at the back door...temperatures may plummet to below zero...gusty winds may howl.   Who cares!   When one is dreaming of blue robin's eggs, fragrant blossoms and little hummers there is no room for the cold.

Something else is keeping away winter's draft.  This lovely book by  Jeri Landers  arrived in the mail yesterday.  My heart was immediately warmed.   Each page is filled with the most beautiful art.  The story is the sweetest tale.   Jeri's talent is amazing.   If you have not had the opportunity to visit her at Hopalong Hollow you are missing a truly heartwarming experience.

Thank you for letting me share some things that are chasing away my winter's chill.   What is keeping you warm these wintry days?   Take care and God Bless!

P.S.  Look who else is staying warm.

Having fun in the Studio!

Watercolor, Micron Pen, Watercolor Pencils
January is a wonderful month for having fun in the studio!  The holidays are over.   The days are short.    Great time to gather up all those art materials that have been waiting for one to try.

My dear sister- in- law - "sister" and brother gave me a lovely set of micron pens, Stonehenge paper and watercolor pencils for Christmas.

They always know the perfect gift to give. This was no exception.   What could be better for an artist that art supplies??

Also back in the fall I had purchased some Mijello Mission watercolors...one was light red.   It's hue is a beautiful orange.  When mixed with cobalt blue one finds a lovely gray.

Did a small sketch of the morning dove and splashed around some paint.  Used that blue/red mix for the colors in the dove.

I so enjoyed sharing my fun.   Hope you will share some of yours too!    God bless.

Kindness

God's kindness came our way today.   He gave us a break from the snow and ice.

Our afternoon walk was very pleasant.

Sweetie seemed to enjoy it too.

We saw lovely skies...

caught a beautiful sunset...

 and found the moon.

It was so nice to share some of God's kindness with you.    Hope you have a lovely week.

Sweet!

Isn't she so sweet!   These morning doves visit the feeders regularly.

They never seem to mind the cold.  When the wind blows they continue to maintain a peaceful attitude.   They are never pushy and always are willing to eat whatever the other birds discard.

Wouldn't this one make a great subject for a painting?    What do you think?

Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy.   Have a blessed day!

Sow

It is the time of the year when I begin to sow seeds for the coming season.  Discovered a different method on You Tube...they call it "...
