Having fun in the Studio!

January is a wonderful month for having fun in the studio!  The holidays are over.   The days are short.    Great time to gather up all those art materials that have been waiting for one to try.

My dear sister- in- law - "sister" and brother gave me a lovely set of micron pens, Stonehenge paper and watercolor pencils for Christmas.

They always know the perfect gift to give. This was no exception.   What could be better for an artist that art supplies??

Also back in the fall I had purchased some Mijello Mission watercolors...one was light red.   It's hue is a beautiful orange.  When mixed with cobalt blue one finds a lovely gray.


 
Did a small sketch of the morning dove and splashed around some paint.  Used that blue/red mix for the colors in the dove.
