Watercolor, Micron Pen, Watercolor Pencils |
My dear sister- in- law - "sister" and brother gave me a lovely set of micron pens, Stonehenge paper and watercolor pencils for Christmas.
They always know the perfect gift to give. This was no exception. What could be better for an artist that art supplies??
Also back in the fall I had purchased some Mijello Mission watercolors...one was light red. It's hue is a beautiful orange. When mixed with cobalt blue one finds a lovely gray.
Did a small sketch of the morning dove and splashed around some paint. Used that blue/red mix for the colors in the dove.
I so enjoyed sharing my fun. Hope you will share some of yours too! God bless.
Wonderful thoughtful gifts to receive Debbie and I can see you have had fun

ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, two beautiful paintings! I love the delicate blending of colors in both! Animals and flowers are a nice combination. You have a thoughtful family,it truly is a perfect gift!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie love your paintings using your Christmas present, that new soft red sounds like a winner. I haven't heard of this supplier. I haven't done any painting for awhile , & seem to be struggling, I can't get the loose feeling I want, I think I'm afraid to add more water and I'll lose the depth of colour. I ordered a painting book by Ann K. Lindsay from www.amazon.com Watercolor-Beginning-Holistic-Approach-Painting... it took ages to arrive as it wasn't in stock here in France so it came from your side of the world. I'm reading it & it sounds just like me ,,always criticizing myself. so I'm hoping to get back into painting.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your new year has got off to a wonderful start, I loved your photographs from the last post and the gorgeous blue sky and the moon. What a thoughtful present and nothing like new materials to get you going, lovely to play and you have created some pretty pictures with your new toys.
ReplyDeleteI liked your list of looking forward, and I am sure you will enjoy 2014 with all of your resolutions in place. It is such a good list that I could wish all of that for myself too. Best wishes for a great year Debbie. x
