Isn't she so sweet! These morning doves visit the feeders regularly.
They never seem to mind the cold. When the wind blows they continue to maintain a peaceful attitude. They are never pushy and always are willing to eat whatever the other birds discard.
Wouldn't this one make a great subject for a painting? What do you think?
Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy. Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteAwwww....she is adorable, Debbie, and would make a delightful subject for a painting! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, She would be adorable to paint.......that's a precious picture with her at the feeder. I would love to see this painted! I guess we are getting a nice break from the freezing cold........this weather is all over the place! Sign of the times? blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, 4 comments in a row telling you to get your palette & brushes out. and you know what ? I'm asking you to do the same, lovely photo & this certainly would make a lovely painting, if you have time or maybe for a rainy day !
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed beautiful, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteHave you started painting her yet? She is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think you should start right away. I had one as a pet, bought her at a flee market, felt so bad that they were all in this little cage. Thought I would be able to release her but the vet said she was a laughing dove form down south so I couldn't. Turned out she was the most loving pet I have ever had. She would snuggle and coo, laugh, ( they really do laugh) and loved to have her back scratched.
ReplyDeletePerfect subject!
ReplyDeleteThis would make a great painting to do indoors on a cold day! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI love morning doves, they seem so peaceful and don't scare off as easily as other birds. Would love to see a painting of her.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been unbelievable, it's even cold here in N.C.
Hope your staying warm and maybe the extreme temps. are over soon.

So serene! Love the neutrals....would make an interesting painting subject. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteYes-she's adorable (looks like a 'she' to me!) Can't wait to see your painting of her....nice that it's warmer, huh? Love ya!
ReplyDeleteOh...YES! Please paint her. A subject close to my heart. We have our bird feeder very close to a window and it apparently reflects back because we can stand really close and they never see us inside. Our doves have the most beautiful blue eye liner which appears florescent. Nature is truly amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes she would Debbie, hope you are staying warm too. dear friend.. it's 40 here!!! WOW.. love,DIana
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Debbie... It was a joy to see you had come for a visit, your comment made my day!

ReplyDeleteI think a sweet little dove is a great subject for your art...I think the doves are the sweetest of all the birds...I just love them. You stay warm too...and healthy. Lots of stuff going around.
ReplyDeleteThis dove is nice to paint. She looks so innocent. Stay warm too. God bless
ReplyDeleteI think she would make a wonderful painting, especially in your talented hands!

How sweet, Debbie! I love doves!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely photos! I adore that cat, it´s gorgeous with the dark head and legs with lighter body! Take care!
ReplyDeleteAND: yes she would make a pretty painting! Looking forward to see the painting later! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the call of the Mourning Dove! The sound takes me back so many years to when I was growing up on the farm. Even now, hearing them is a bittersweet thing! It is a shame that in some states they are still hunted! Thank you Debbie for your thoughts, I would love to see a painting of one. ~ Diane
