Something else is keeping away winter's draft. This lovely book by Jeri Landers arrived in the mail yesterday. My heart was immediately warmed. Each page is filled with the most beautiful art. The story is the sweetest tale. Jeri's talent is amazing. If you have not had the opportunity to visit her at Hopalong Hollow you are missing a truly heartwarming experience.
Thank you for letting me share some things that are chasing away my winter's chill. What is keeping you warm these wintry days? Take care and God Bless!
P.S. Look who else is staying warm.
Scooter!! |
Wonderful sketches, cutie patootie kittie and the book and illustrations definitely should warm one's soul! Hope you are keeping warm in this frigid weather! Sending hugs!
ReplyDeleteWill have to visit Jeri's sight, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteStay warm in God's grace. Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketches, Debbie! God bless you, and sending you a warm hug from a very cold Montreal.
ReplyDeleteScooter is adorable! I love your sketches...stay warm!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
I love your sketches Debbie! I wish I could see your watercolor of the nest better, it looks gorgeous! Keep dreaming and stay warm! I will check out the link, thank you for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteHa, cats. It's amazing where you will find them,
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous art you do, Debbie. So beautiful. Love the book cover too; as you said, the art looks gorgeous. Glad Scooter figured out how to stay warm too. Me? I love winter and the external chill doesn't bother me at all. The internal one is the one I'm struggling with right now.
ReplyDeleteA terrific way to chase away the winter chill and Scooter is adorable!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to look through your sketchbook Debbie! As you know, I'm keeping warm too with the Challenge of the month of Leslie Saeta. I'm rushing a lot and hoping to get to the end of the month in one piece only. :) Happy weekend to you Debbie!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are staying warm since it is so frigid out. Glad your dreams works some magic. Love the sketches. It is so sunny this morning but much too cold! I did get bundled up yesterday and went out to take some photos of the snow. I made sure I was only out for s short time and then would rush back to the car. lol Stay toasty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for another uplifting post
ReplyDeleteScooter has quite nicely done markings. Maybe that's a pose for a portrait. :)
I love your sketches and the painting of the nest is beautiful, so inspiring Debbie. The book looks adorable and so does Scooter sitting on the microwave. It's so so cold but it sounds like you have found a cozy way to spend these cold days.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, You got your book, Good! I love looking at your sketch books, they are so beautiful .Mine are so messy, I would never show them to a living soul. I am more of a scribbler and impatient to get down to the intense drawing on my permanent page. But your sketches are true works of art in themselves.
ReplyDeleteOOPS< I am on hubby computer today, that comment above is me, Jeri Landers... forgot to sign my name. Stay warm!
ReplyDeletelovely Debbie, oh your dear kitty on the microwave is so cute.. love to you,Diana
ReplyDeleteThese sketches in your book are gorgeous! You have the right idea - rather than whine (which I have been doing) about the cold and snow and cold and snow...think spring and picture it and maybe even draw or paint it. And that photo of Scooter - what a hoot! Glad he's on top of the microwave and not inside, trying to keep warm! ha ha
ReplyDeleteScooter has the right idea...and you do to...creating with warm thoughts is good for a cold day. I love your journal pages....
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are really beautiful , I specially love the one with the blue eggs , and the photo of Scooter on the microwave is awesome :-)) xx
ReplyDeleteOh boy- nests and eggs. Your paintings look so beautiful. My heart is beating faster with pleasure.
ReplyDeleteScooter looks so royal.
Great sketches, Debbie! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteFirst, thank you so much for visiting and your most kind thoughts... I am so happy you enjoyed!
Now, Jeri's book! I have all three of her books, and I have to say, they just send me into my childhood.. Isn't Mamsey Bear a wonderful story, and the illustrations... They just take my breath away..
Your cat is so adorable... Enjoy your weekend.
blessings,
Penny
p.s. I LOVE your drawings. The nest with the blue eggs... Is that watercolor? Exquisite!!! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches, Debbie. And the cat is so adorable. Stay warm. And God bless.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope for an early spring! All the best.
ReplyDeleteOh your drawings and paintings are so, so beautiful.....wow.
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying warm-can't wait for spring!!!
Dear Debbie,so beautiful is your Harmony Hills world!!! ... I wish you happy days, waiting for spring. There is an inner spring always at hand, but the climatic Spring always comes after the winter!
ReplyDeleteTruly loving your sketches.
ReplyDeleteThe hummingbirds I am certainly missing,
but hey sure wouldn't last in all this snow !!
Which reminds me sooner or later I too want to buy that lovely book too.
Isn't Jeri just amazing !
Debbie, I'm dreaming of spring blossoms too! Your sketches are so lovely and Scooter is such a cutie. Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog too. ~ Diane
