Restful

I love a day that is restful.   It gives one time to reflect...

sniff out an unfamiliar scent...

Imagine what you would see from this viewpoint...

or this one...

and even finish a forgotten painting.

So glad you stopped by.

Hope you will share what you do with a  restful day.  Have a lovely week.

Hugs Debbie

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.   Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  Matt. 11: 28-30 (NIV)

  3. Good morning to you Debbie, its been awhile since I've been visiting my favourite blogs, what a joy to read such simple words describing your great photos. I'm feeling very rested now. I'm not sure if you know but we have sold & now left our home in the heart of the country in France. We are in a lovely rented cottage for a few months about a 20/30 min drive to the coast. so different to where we lived before. shortly we will be taking a look around to buy a small cottage just for me & Mr France, something with just a small garden. loved your painting, I'm hoping to get back into painting again now I have the time.

  6. Your landscape is so wonderful. I always enjoy the photos, thank you. And a perfect piece of scripture once again. You always find the right passage or quote. I think I'll reflect on it today while hiking. Thank you.

  10. Oh Deb, I love the painting and your walk. It looks restful, that is until the dogs drop and roll in stink. I'm glad I just have weenies to clean up. Two German Shepherds would be a task.

  11. Lovely painting
The weather feels more like early spring that it does winter. I don't look forward to the snow that's surely going to fall.

  19. Hello Debbie,
I love how you make a grey day look and sound so beautiful and yes restful. I spend my quiet days in much the same way as you, although I no longer have a dog, so I usually walk alone or sometimes with my husband. When not walking I love to read, catch up with friend's blogs and potter about the house and garden.
Your painting is beautiful and I enjoyed the quote, thank you.

  21. Hi Deborah, It is always so thrilling to find an old nest in a barren tree, nothing finer.
I like your word for the new year in the post beneath, It is perfect, "HOPE".I too look forward to this year, and I would choose the same word myself.
