"Under His Wings"

Overnight the fog rolled in.

It made the familiar seem less clear

and a bit eerie.

Everything seemed to wear a blanket of gray blue.

Then like a big bird stretching its incredible pink wings God brought the dawn.

Light began to drive away the shadows and a sunny day was born.

Sometimes in life one will stumble in the mist of shrouded fog and lose their way.  Yet if in "looking up" we can catch a glimpse of His Glory hope will find us safe beneath His wings.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;" Psalm 91:4

Have a wonderful week dear friends.
Hugs!  Debbie

  7. Another group of lovely images. Thank you, dear Debbie. The dawn shot is so amazing - it shows clearly the perspective in the cloud formation which made me think about your words "pink wings" - God brought the dawn. You are so right - He certainly brings the light into our lives, doesn't he?

  10. What a wonderful metaphor for starting the week! Thank you. fog or other weather can literally be disorientating. You do look for something to "ground" you as you search around unfamiliar yet familiar territory.

I'll be thinking about this idea of refuge this week. Thank you.

  17. These are lovely. I love the fog. It is both mysterious and peaceful. It is usually neither cold nor hot but just right to walk in and to cuddle up in a blanket and read a good book.

  21. Lovely photos of the fog, and appreciate the thoughts the dawn brings to your mind. Makes me think of the scripture about God's compassions fail not, they are new every morning.
This also made me remember a glorious dawn last year when I was up earlier than usual, the whole sky was a glory of pink and gold rippled clouds, like the underside of an angel's wing... I need to start getting up earlier! (and taking my camera with me...)
