December

Today did not look like a December day.  The snow we had last week is gone.  It did not stay for  long.

The sky was a breathtaking blue...not a cloud to be seen.

Red rose hips glistened in the sun.

Even a few blackberry leaves were still clinging to their branch.

No it did not feel like a day in December.   Hard to believe it is less than two weeks until Christmas.

Are you ready?

Hope everyone has a blessed week.

Hugs

Debbie

"In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph a descendant of David.  The virgin's name was Mary.  The angel went to her and said Greetings, you who are highly favored.  The Lord is with you."  Luke 1:26-28 (NIV)

  2. The weather and seasons are so topsy turvy, it's hard to think about Christmas when it is so mild. We are nearly ready which is good as school breaks up at the end of the week.
It looks like your gorgeous doggo is enjoying the sun on her fur, Luna knows which part of the house to lie in at what time of day to find the best sun puddle for a snooze. What a life!

  3. Beautiful, as always. Before I saw the photo, I was so taken by your line: "Red rose hips glistened in the sun. We had a warm day also, and it does feel less brisk than usual December days. I wish you a blessed week too, Debbie.

  7. On Saturday it certainly felt like December. It was wet and cold and I loved it. Now it's back to blue skies but it's still a bit chilly. I am all over the place this year. My Christmas preparations started early but I'm still lagging behind.

  8. Debbie, the first snowfall came last night, and that is always magical for me to see. I hear we are in for a snow storm. I got my White Christmas after all. You have such an attractive dog. I love the verse you shared this close to Christmas.

Have a merry December week, Debbie.

  10. Lol at first I thought the photo of your dog was a stag, because of the branch sticking out behind his head. It has been an unusually warm winter. We'll see if it cools down or not. Love the scripture!

  12. I know the feeling. We had had some lovely fall weather, but it's in the mid-80s again here. All I want for Christmas is a cold front ;)
