In the business of living it often is a challenge to find time to rest.

We fill our days with to-do lists and rush about seeking new opportunities to inspire and motivate us.

We are busy doing one task while our minds are moving on to the next chore.

It has become a way of life to see how much work one can get done in a given day.

We are so focused on what lies in the future that we miss the wonderful miracles that are happening now.  Perhaps that is why God designed a day of rest.

Resting is necessary for optimum health...mental and physical.  It restores us and gives us time to take in the daily gifts that are waiting for us to unwrap.

Hope each of you will find some time to rest today.  Have a blessed week.

..."Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."  Jeremiah 6:16 b

  1. Amen...

I rushed around a bit today. I feel like I should rest.

  2. Your lovely photos are a nice reminder of what God provides in nature to give us a rest from the usual business that seems to fill our lives. Thank you for providing them!

  3. This is so true! Your pictures are beautiful. The days pass so fast.

  4. Back home and back on line. You are so right, Deb -- our vacation was truly filled, and now that we are home, we need the rest we didn't give ourselves while away ... wonderful peaceful images that help to do this ... have a great week!

  5. Gorgeous photos. You certainly hit the mark with Jeremiah.

  6. Beautiful photos, Debbie!!! Rest is something I have to learn how to Thank you for the reminder...enjoy this beautiful day!!!

  7. Lovely sky photo. I've been resting these past two days as I had a bit of vertigo. It's nice to just do nothing every now and then.

  8. You are so right Debbie, and I can tell you, I always find time to rest after having had a period of great stress ( having to many irons in the fire )and consequently illness. xx

  9. Beautiful photo's, Debbie! You're right, rest is important. When I don't, and do too much, I get ill. I've learned this lesson the hard way.

  10. Excellent. I love the Scripture and your photos. I'm sending you a cyber hug!

  11. Rest is beautiful. Beautiful photos as well

  12. Such a beautiful, true and timely post! I'm getting over a cold, and I had such a hard time just resting yesterday. I got what I needed to get done, but then felt guilty about resting for much of the day. I should have simply been grateful that right now my life allows me rest right now while I need to.

  13. Moving on to see what's new.
    Thank you for your visit.

  14. I really like this post, Debbie, and it's so true. I've been thinking a lot about this lately - how busy the world is today. It kind of makes me sad, wondering if people ever go into nature or go camping any more or take a hike or go up to the mountains. I think our chores and errands cause us to not spend time away when it's so necessary to our well being. Thank you for the gentle reminder that we need this day of rest very much. Your sky photo is beautiful.

  15. Beautiful and very true words.
We must know how to appreciate all the wonders that surround us.
    Wonderful photos.
    A big hug

  16. Such a special bible verse, Debbie! Rest is so important not just physical rest, but mental rest and spiritual rest. Enjoy your week!

  17. Dear Debbie,
I really enjoyed this post. The photos are beautiful, and so calming.
I try my best to slow down, although it is a challenge at times.
    Wishing you a blessed weekend.

  19. Nice Deb, photos are great. They are the real miracle of God. Many of us are in a mad rush to achieve our goals and we seldom look around to appreciate the things God gave us. It is so true we need to stop and take rest and look around for true inspiration. Please visit us at

  20. My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough. here is his Email: or call/text him on his WhatsApp +2347012841542
