Today it is Memorial Day in America and we are paying tribute to all those men and women who gave of their time and their lives.
Two weeks ago we lost a beloved family member who served in Vietnam. During his service he was exposed to Agent Orange which over time weakened the walls of his heart.
As so many can testify, they may have survived the battlefield but never fully recovered their mental and physical health. May we not forget the sacrifices these honorable men and women gave for our freedom. God Bless each and every one.
Hugs
Debbie
"Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy." Psalm 107:22
The injuries which many veterans carry with them are catastrophic.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss. Some veterans came home with unseen injuries that affected them for years. May we continue to honor them and their sacrifices. Have a good week, my friend.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteThat was me.
DeleteAlways hard, thinking of you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss, Debbie. It's very easy to forget the sacrifices those who have come before us have made.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathy on your loss. My grandfather died just months before WWI ended, but my mother told me - some died after peace was declared.
ReplyDeleteWe all owe our freedom to those who have fought and should never take it for granted. The younger generations need to hear the brave stories.
