Last week I was able to capture the Super Blue Moon on film.
The photo does not do it justice. Such a beautiful sight.
A Blue moon generally comes about every two to three years. The last one we seen was August 22, 2021. However it is a very rare thing to experience a Super Blue Moon.
Headlines all over the world portrayed this special happening. The next one will not come until 2037... fourteen years away.
Don't you wonder what life will be like then!!
Well only time will tell. Hope all of you are having a lovely day.
Here in the U.S. we are celebrating Labor Day. The last big holiday of summer. May everyone who is enjoying this celebration have a great one!
Hugs
Debbie
"The moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down." Psalm 104:19 (NIV)
Wow I did not know that this was a rare moon. It was gorgeous and huge here over the lake-so enjoyed it. I will be really old when the next one comes around Happy new week hugs from the lake Kathy
ReplyDeleteDidn't get to see it! How pretty!!

I didn't get to see it because we had some cloud cover. Hope you're doing well. It's been a while since I visited.
ReplyDeleteI went out to see the Blue Moon but didn't bother taking photos. Hope you had a nice Labor Day. I got to spend time in the pool and then we had a lobster dinner. It was a way to enjoy the holiday. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteYou had a beautiful view of the Blue Moon! I only saw a glimpse because the trees at the back of my apartment have grown so much that my view was blocked.
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you were able to capture it in photos at all! I've not had much luck trying to photograph the night sky. I love how even with all our reliance on technology it seems like most people are still very excited by natural phenomena.
ReplyDeleteCloud cover here too so didn't see it sadly. Lovely photos Debbie, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures of the blue moon are pretty, Debbie. I wanted to go out and see it, but I missed it. Yes, it is interesting to know what life will be like then when the next one is supposed to come. I hope September brings you sweet days. My granddaughter was born, so our family is overjoyed.

ReplyDeleteHi Candyy thank you for stopping to visit me. Hoping you will post something again soon. Hugs!
DeleteGreat photos Debbie. Too much cloud cover here sadly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I never get good photos of the moon. Wonder if our photographer son took any? Hmmnm.
Martine
I saw the moon too, but my phone won't capture it as well as you have done. I'm not ready for fall yet, are you?
