When summer's heat makes its visit I love to take a mini vacation.
It is my favorite way to travel. Not far to go, no traffic jams or fear of getting lost.
Packing is easy too. A straw hat, cool glass of lemonade and a good book makes the luggage very light.
When I arrive there is a comfy seat in a spot of shade.
Yes friends this place is right out my back door.
Now that I have shared my mini vacation...hope you will shares yours.
Have a lovely week!
Hugs Debbie
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteNow that's my kind of mini vacation. Your spot looks so cool and comforting.
My mini vacation is early morning, taking a seat out in the backyard and watching the bunnies feeding on the bushes and listening to the birds.. I have a mocking bird that is always there with his delightful songs.
blessings,
Penny
Yes, Debbie! I love this type of mini vacation! Enjoy your time, relax and take time for yourself. We all need some time like this. Hugs. :)
ReplyDeleteMy mini vacation is walking my Dog in the fields and woods near our home. We are enjoying eating our meals in the garden this week. It is very hot in Sussex today. Marion x
ReplyDeleteI love this too...
ReplyDeleteI’m just about to leave for my mini vacation, which I will be taking in much the same spot as you expect it’s in my back garden. My PC is in an upstairs bedroom and as the temperature continues to climb it’s time for me to head down stairs and out the door! Hugs Barbara
ReplyDeleteGreat mimi vacation, Debbie
ReplyDeleteHave a Lemonade making, Hat wearing week!
Love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely mini-vacation spot! Why do we need to go far away and pack stuff and deal with the hassle of traveling to be on vacation? We can just enjoy our spaces around us - a nice porch swing, a good book, a slight breeze on a warm day, watching birds at the feeder = all are mini-vacations from stress. Thanks for sharing your's!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, Debbie! You have a designer's talent in setting up a delightful scene! We certainly need a shady spot these days. 111 degrees here today, and Phoenix may have to shut down the airport part of the day. It gets so hot on the tarmac that they worry about the tread on the tires of the planes.
ReplyDeleteThe best spot! Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks ideal to me Debbie, I've grown to hate traveling. I hope you have a lot of great mini vacations this summer!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy you enjoyed Nowhere!
Thank you so much for coming over.
Sending you a hug!
Penny
LOOKS LIKE A FABULOUS PLACE FOR SOME R&R! ENJOY!!
ReplyDeleteTime for a staycation! Looks like a lovely spot for a cold drink and a good book. I plan to do a bit of vacationing at home myself this summer.
ReplyDeleteThat looks exactly like my mini vacation, even the straw hat is similar, only mine has a red ribbon :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your mini-vacation. It's great that it's just outside your door.
ReplyDeleteThat sure sounds pretty good to me! I tend to forget that sometimes the simplest things can be just as good as the well planned and complex. Glad that you took some time out. I'll be doing the same!
ReplyDeleteHope your week is off to a good start.
Libby
The time we spend close to home can be so special. A vacation is about intention and mindset as much as a place. For me, going into my little town, (a tourist sort of town) and going down the coast 10 or 20 miles...
ReplyDeleteDebbie, a mini vacation like yours sounds so super relaxing! No lines, no security lines, and no crowds. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your mini vacation Debbie! It sounds perfect to me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect spot for a mini vacation, good for you for taking time to stop and smell the roses!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kind of vacation, Debbie! Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteA perfect break Debbie - the kind you can take whenever... no bookings required ;D)
ReplyDeleteI like a mini vacation in my garden too! I also like a maxi vacation in my folding camper, touring the country and stopping on campsites in beautiful spots!
ReplyDeleteThe best thing you can do at the moment is to take care of yourself in the beautiful setting you call home. God's beauty surrounds you, the dogs will adore you being in their sight... and as you didn't mention the title of the book, I hope you let us all know next week if it is good, please.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! Yours is the kind of spot that I like best. I have a similar one right under a red maple tree and where the birds like to come also for a dip in their private bath. A chair, a table for my book and stuff and I'm gone for a few hours.Lots of time to rest and travel my heart's desire. Wishing you lots of mini vacations my friend!Hugs
