Overnight had brought us a gorgeous snow fall.
It had been warm Thursday afternoon - sunny and above average temps. Things were certainly looking spring-like.
Then the weather reminded us that winter was still here.
So instead of getting grumpy and sad... decided to go outdoors and enjoy a beautiful winter morn.
Shelby was more than happy to go see what the day had brought...
Schindler too.
Mr. Cardinal seemed quite at home with the snow covered branches...his feathers certainly didn't seemed ruffled by the cold.
As for me I was very grateful to be amazed by such a breathtaking start to the day.
Hope you enjoyed seeing our surprise.
Hugs Debbie
So glad you went outside. What beautiful pics! A good reminder that in every way, we are not in charge.
ReplyDeleteDearest Debbie, Shelby is gorgeous! And I love all the snow in your photos. I also love the mailbox, what a heartwarming feel here! And the cardinal is precious! Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope you have a wonder filled week ahead! Hugs and love to you. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely post Debbie. And such pretty pictures as always. We are getting snow again on Tuesday night. It's not over yet. I hope you've had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBonjour chère Debbie,
ReplyDeleteBrrr !!! Lorsque le printemps est à notre porte, la neige n'est pas forcément la bienvenue ! Toutefois vos photos sont magiques.
Aujourd'hui nous avons déjeuné sur la terrasse, les températures étaient très douces.
Gros bisous
I too see the beauty of the snow. Love seeing the cardinal in all his glory!
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a surprise. It felt like spring had arrived everywhere. But maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI think you got more snow than we did-but you're right-look around and there's no reason to be grumpy! Gosh your dogs are gorgeous! Lovely landscape too. I bet you painted the pretty mailbox...
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather isn't it? We had temps for 2 weeks in the 60s and 70s, and snow flurries this morning and temps plunging for the next 2 weeks -- saddens me to see all the signs of spring nibbed in the bud, and fruit, and flower ... sigh. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of your surprise!!! I especially like the one of the mailbox. I enjoyed our snow too. It was so thick and pretty on the trees and branches and wasn't much of a nuisance. lol However this storm that is heading for us is another story! Stay warm and safe, my friend. It may be a nasty one!
ReplyDeleteBetter enjoy the surprise March had in store for you! Beautiful photos, Debbie! We in Holland can look forward to a week of mild and sunny Spring weather. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess it isn't over till it is over! May as well enjoy it while you have it right? This is the first year that I have been embracing our rainy and cold winters by getting outside. It's a change for me. Enjoying winter is always possible I guess even if it comes unexpectedly:)
ReplyDeleteHope your Monday starts out well.
Libby
You never know about early Spring, do you?! Enjoyed the beautiful photos and your descriptions. Your setting (your beautiful place), of course, makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your surprise Debbie, it all looks so beautiful, and I can see how much fun Schindler (great name) and Shelby had. Thank you for sharing these gorgeous photographs. Hugs Barbara
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs! We got that surprise on Friday, as well, and tomorrow there's going to be a huge blizzard. But, since it's March, I'm hoping it will melt swiftly!
ReplyDeleteWow, a really lovely and sensitive post and photos! Me, too, enjoy the breathtaking moments in nature. Thank you for showing us how beautiful life is. Best wishes, Sadami
ReplyDeleteOh my you certainly got the white stuff. Here we are now in a lot of heavy rain. They are warning about mudslides and flooding in the rivers. Snow is gone. But it was lovely. I always said I would go back to big dogs, but once again I went small. They looked like walking snowballs when they would play in the snow. I went through a pile of turkish towels when they came in. LOL Love your pictures. Wish we had cardinals here as they are so beautiful. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a surprise with the warm wintry weather you have been having. I love your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteYour article is very good and memorable for me, this time I am happy to enjoy your content properly. thank you

Gorgeous snow. Hope you're staying warm. We're enjoying some crisp weather here, too--love it, as I'm not yet ready for summer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post today, you know I don't get to see this anymore.
ReplyDeleteAlthough pretty chilly here last night in north Florida. Some people wouldn't believe that it got down to 28 degrees last night.
Glad to see your happy pictures, and yes when life gives you snow, just make snowballs. !!
p.s. I'm doing ok.
