Fall Happenings

We at Harmony Hills are beginning to enjoy those wonderful fall happenings.

Lovely colors are starting to make a show.

The hills seem to be changing before our very eyes.

Indoors some simple homey foods are starting to cook.

Nothing like a wonderful chuck roast with a few carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and a clove of garlic simmering to make one's appetite come alive.

Then to satisfy that sweet tooth how about a few oatmeal raisin cookies with a nice tall glass of milk. ( Hmm no wonder my jeans are getting a bit tighter !)

Well best get back outdoors and enjoy the last lovely flowers.   They seem to be holding on before that final frost takes them away.

So glad you stopped to visit and catch up on all the fall happenings.

Hope you will share some of yours too.

Many Hugs!

Debbie

  1. I'll be over in a few minutes. My kind of food. It'll be 91 degrees here tomorrow, so I am waiting to wear my jeans again.

  2. Hi Debbie, I love the smell of roasts, and soup simmering in the kitchen. I made a large batch of roasted veges and some vegetable soup yesterday. What a treat. Also makes the weekend fun by having those quick to heat and eat meals. Our leaves are falling quickly. Had to do some mowing and mulching today before it gets away from me and is too hard to do.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

I love the fall colors of the trees.. We don't see the seasons change here, so this is a real treat.

  9. Autumn is slowly arriving here, a little bit chillier, the darker mornings and the nights drawing in. We don't have the leaves turning quite as much as yours, but it won't be long I am sure. Lots more comfort food to be eaten and soups made. A lovely time of year.

  10. The autumn colours look so pretty. Over here the leaves go from green to brown without the vibrant colours in between.

  11. Although we do not get the visual changes in seasons as you do, our nights are crisper, the bird songs are fewer and the plants are on the down-slide. But, excitement is in the air as Thanksgiving comes closer, and then all the things that go on with Christmas. Thank you for sharing your beautiful changes outside the house and inside! My, those cookies look delish!!
