A favorite winter past time of mine is feeding the birds. When the snow flies I am busy keeping the feeders full.
We have a wonderful variety that visit our back deck.
There are blue jays, morning doves, cardinals, juncos, chickadees, nuthatches and sparrows.
Occasionally there have even been indigo buntings and rufous towhees. These generally come later in the season.
I am sure the birds are glad there is glass between them and these fur babies.
Thank you for stopping by to bird watch with us.
God Bless!
It is so enjoyable to watch the birds and you certainly have captured some great shots. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love to take care of my birds as well. Such pretty pictures! Bonnie
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I'm sure the birds appreciate the food and the glass! x
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful photos!! I think cardinals are one of the prettiest birds out there with the blue jay running neck and neck. Love seeing them in your yard like this, Debbie. As fast as I see them they flit away.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, so many beautiful birds! It seems with all that snow the birds rely on the food you are providing. Your cats look like they could use a snack too!:)
ReplyDeleteDebbie you are a great photographer. I so enjoy your photos. Again with the gorgeous birds. I have tons of chickadees who I call butterballs. They are delightful little birds who eat a lot. They can empty a 6 hole tube feeder in a few hours. I love them. Wish we had cardinals.
ReplyDeleteNice photo's....I miss my birds. I could sit for hours watching them.I got a chuckle out of your kitty's in the window especially the one peeking around the corner. :)
ReplyDeleteForgot to add I really like your header photo. I am going out wandering later with a friend and hope to find a barn or two myself. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog header is beautiful. I also love your photos-you are good at it!!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm & cozy, like those kitty cats!
Love, Debra

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your great photos. I always enjoy seeing your area.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are beautiful! My hubby and I will sit on the porch anytime we can..and are very quiet at times. We see so many neat birds and get a kick out of hearing them sing and play around the porch in the ferns and trees! I love to bird watch! Is that a sign of getting older??? Your felines are funny too! From one sweetie to another~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you get all this variety, wonderful to observe them...love bird watching ! Have a nice weekend.
