The stillness of winter has arrived. It brings quiet and moments of reflection. Every season holds beauty...
this time of the year is no exception.
Even the wildlife stop to pause and are still.
As the snow blankets the earth.. stillness blankets my soul.
For a little while I too will cease to strive and surrender to the lovely stillness of winter's sojourn.
Will you come join me?
Have a peace filled week.
God Bless
Debbie
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him..." Psalm 37:7a (NIV)
Wait. I keep hearing that! Beautiful snowy scenes.
ReplyDeleteThe stillness of winter - it's a beautiful time in which to be quiet. Enjoying the peacefulness around here too. Happy New Year, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteSnow makes everything seem to be still and quiet when it covers the ground. We don't have any around right now, but there is a possibility of some on Monday. Enjoy the peace it gives you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty in the pictures. I'm not a fan of snow though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post winter can be so beautiful especially in rural areas
ReplyDeleteI thought I was following you - and I wasn't. Sorry - fixed that.
ReplyDeleteYou know the snow makes it quiet. We don't have it here. You made me remember my Chicago days and the stillness it provided. Thanks.
Gorgeous white landscapes! Our snow today was little and short lived. But beautiful for a little while.
ReplyDeleteLovely snow photos, Debbie. Thanks so much for your visit to Writing Straight from the Heart and for your comment, too. You sound just like my kind of person----reaching into the throwaway bag to give your item one more chance to not get thrown out! I had to chuckle about that because it's exactly what I would do. We are good for the environment, right? We don't add to the trash. ha haha Take care and stay warm and cozy. Sincerely, Susan
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Snow is rare here. It is quiet and peaceful if you don't "have" to get out in it. I'm smiling.
ReplyDeleteAwe such a beautiful post dear Debbie!
ReplyDeleteLast phrase is particularly breathtaking ❤️
You have way with words indeed
I would love to join:)
Hugs and best wishes
Oh Yes, I will come join you, my friend. There is something so special about the stillness when that first snow comes in winter. Your pictures are so pretty, especially the light post. And I'm wondering what animals those are in the distance. Such a pretty photo. What a beautiful verse you shared at the end. We are supposed to get another snow here soon. And there are fires raging in So Cal, so please say prayers. I'm up north, but the girls are down south. Thank you, Debbie.
