Spring Arrived

This week spring arrived.  Abundant sunshine, warmer days and glorious blooms testify this lovely season has come for her annual visit.   In the midst of life's happenings she appeared. It was as if I went to sleep one night and awoke to find the daffodils in full flower shaking their heads and tossing off winter's chill. How appropriate was her timing as we begin Holy Week. I will leave you with one final picture that I captured one early morning as I was "looking up".   It gave me hope and may it do likewise for all of you.   "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16 (NIV) Have a blessed week and all who are celebrating- a wonderful Easter.  Will be back in two weeks - God willing! Hugs Debbie

Spring to me signals renewal. After a long winter I am more than ready to be renewed. Even though the trees have not yet dawned their green will not be long until they will be showing off their leafy finery. The pussy willows are not shy.  They are coming out in full swing to greet the season of spring.  Yes renewal is on its way. Have a great week. Hugs Debbie "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

Seeing Signs

Finally we are seeing signs of spring. The crocus are beginning to bloom...   This one lone snowdrop is working its way up through the remaining fallen leaves. The violas that hubby brought to me last spring are coming out of their long winter's sleep. Yes friends I am seeing signs of spring. May all of you who have experienced ice and snow and zero temps be seeing those signs as well. Have a blessed week.   Debbie "Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land." Song of Songs 2:12 (NIV)

March Happenings

Sharing some March happenings in my part of the world. We are seeing blue skies with sunshine after a long dark winter. Black-capped chickadees  regularly show up for lunch.  Also sparrows gather waiting to get their fair share. Even this flock of wild turkeys made a quick visit. On another subject this month's bookshelf has two books I am reading.  Both authors are new to me.  Will give an update when finished. Have finally returned to the studio to do some sketching and painting.  It has been a while.  Thinking spring's arrival will help bring some needed inspiration.  Well friends this is some of March's happenings at Harmony Hills. Hope you will share what is keeping you busy this month. Hugs! Debbie "I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine."  Psalm 50:11 (NIV)
