The Perfect Recipe

Here is the perfect recipe for a delightful winter's walk.

Blue sky and lots of sunshine...

a couple of sweet companions...

a familiar path...

and a brief visit with a neighbor.

Yes friends this made the perfect recipe for a lovely walk.

Speaking of recipes - here is a delicious treat and oh so easy.

                         Forgotten Cookies
3 egg whites beaten into firm peaks...a pinch of  salt...1 tsp. of vanilla flavoring...1/2 cup of granulated sugar...1 cup of chopped nuts...1 cup of choc. chips or butterscotch.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees - beat egg whites until firm...gently fold in the rest of ingredients.

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper, brown paper or aluminum foil.   Spoon cookies in mounds onto paper leaving about 2 inches in between each one.   Turn oven off and place cookie sheets inside.   Close door and do not open for 12 hours or overnight.   Next morning flip cookies out onto another cookie sheet and peel paper off .   Cookies will harden - store in a closed container.

These are naturally gluten free - hubby really likes them.

Well hope you enjoyed the perfect recipe.  Maybe you will share one of yours.

Have a wonderful week.

"Those who walk uprightly enter into peace:" Isaiah 57:2 a (NIV)

Hugs

Debbie

Thanks for the recipe and especially for including the time in oven after cooking is completed. Now I know where my hubby went wrong trying to make a recipe similar to this.

  6. Debbie, You live in a beautiful place, inside and out. I believe that the inner spiritual peace you have found somehow creates or works with the external. I believe that your appreciation of your external surroundings make them more beautiful...

  10. Like the meringues I used to eat when I was growing up. Loved them. I want to try to make them using Truvia instead of sugar so I can eat them as part of my Keto diet. I'm just a bit hesitant to try it after the failure with my chocolate/peanut butter fat bombs experiment. Let me think about it! Been nice for walking here too the passed few days but I did my walking at the mall yesterday. Have a great week!

  21. Looks like you had a great day for a walk. I used to make your meringue cookies often. The only difference is I would add in a drop of mint flavoring and a drop of green food coloring. :)
