"Looking Up" |
If folks would follow this timeless request perhaps lives would not be lost, hate would be gone and peace would reign.
Isn't it time we overcame evil with choosing to do good? I am ready - how about you?
Have a blessed week.
Hugs Debbie
"Looking Up" |
I have been spending time preparing for change. The photo here was taken this afternoon - sunny with temperatures being near 60. Tonight...
So ready...
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteJust came back to say it again.
So right, Debbie. Like Mike said to me the other day, when I asked him if the fact that his boss changed his hours and he had gone to work 4 hr. too early and had to come all the way home and then go back again, had made him angry........"I'm only living this day once, so it's going to be the best day I can have and that doesn't include my being angry." He has a lot of restraint. I was amazed. Your post is very thought-provoking.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carol
That is a powerful reminder of my mother. She was extraordinary and followed a path of true humility, consideration for all and unlimited kindness.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading what Carol said about her husband Mike.
Good to have this reminder of a worthwhile goal.
Have a blessed week, my dear friend.
AMEN!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Debbie! I wanted to cry a bit when I read this. It's true. Basic decency, simple observances and efforts-what could be wrong about any of that? Timeless advice for living. Thank you!

Such a beautiful post Debbie! Thank you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week...
I also loved Carol's comment. We CAN make a difference-one plus one plus one-we all add up, and we can spread goodness. Very good post, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteA Blessed Week to You, Debbie
ReplyDeleteIf only...
ReplyDeleteI DO see a lot of good in this world. I wish the press would share more of those stories and examples.
I loved this post Debbie and Carol's comment - what a wonderful attitude from her husband. I truly believe we can all make a difference. When you think about doing good is very much like being kind - and I try to be kind even when people around me are being anything but. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI whole heartedly agree and would add:
ReplyDeleteFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Phil. 4:8
I'm more than ready Debbie. I was thinking about what's happening in Texas and how quickly we come together to help each other when disaster threatens our neighbors. No one is caring about religion, color, politics or any of the differences that seem to set people on opposite sides..
ReplyDeleteThis should be a lesson... My nephew says these three words, "Do No Harm" .
ready!
ReplyDeleteYes, choosing to do good...In whatever small ways, it goes out into the world...Who is it who said: There are 3 things that are very important in the world: Kindness, kindness, and kindness...
ReplyDeleteWow, I always admire you, Debbie. The request/challenging you show is not easy. But I do my best to achieve it. Have a wonderful week!! Best wishes, Sadami
ReplyDeleteI am ready.
ReplyDeleteAnd God is ready to pardon. He is waiting...
Amen, Debbie! Preach on, dear sister! Beautiful photo. Love and hugs to you, my cherished friend.
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Debbie, If only we could all stop and think about the words we use and how they effect people.
ReplyDeleteI try very hard not to be mean. If I am hurt by someone, I try very hard to understand why they say the things they say. I have to say it doesn't always work.... but the important thing is, I do try.
Have a wonderful day today.
With warmest wishes
Daphne
Life is all about choices and you've just pinpointed the most important one, choosing to be good. Thanks for this timely reminder. Your sunset is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo true. Enjoy your week Debbie.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it would be if people started following these words. Great way to start off the week. Have a wonderful day!!!
ReplyDeleteYes wouldn't that be nice !! Hugs.
