"I'm late...I'm late for a very important date."
That date was yesterday with you sweet friends.
Missed my usual posting on Sunday . Like Alice in Wonderland... there are times when I fall down the rabbit hole. Hope all of you are having a lovely start to the week.
Rain has swept through Ohio making our fields lovely and green...
Hollyhocks tall...
and Squash plants spreading wide.
It has given me indoor time to put up my feet and get inspired with some creative reading.
Plus a bit of playing in the studio.
If any of you have not fallen down the rabbit hole...drop me a note and let me know how your week is going.
Have a lovely and blessed day.
Hugs!
Debbie
Life is busy and sometimes we fall a little behind. lol Looks like things are really growing out there. The rain is really keeping everything green around here. I'm sure they can use some of it out west. Have a wonderful week, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteAs always I like the photos you post. Lots of grass between flowers and vegetable beds...do you have a riding mower to take care of it all?
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your hollyhocks!
What did you learn from the Creative Life - do you recommend it?
Alice had it made...
It is good to shake us up by missing a day. It caught my attention.
Blessings dear friend. Enjoy your week.
You have been busy, Debbie! I love your art! And it is nice to do some reading. I absolutely love your photos, especially the greens! Take good care of yourself, dear friend. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteEvery photo is a painting, so gorgeous! I love the lush greens and your hollyhocks! I love your beautiful Lily painting, I also love how you sketched on an envelope!!
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit I fall behind too often...so many things I want and need to do! Have a wonderful week, hugs!!
Gorgeous abundance, all of it!
ReplyDeleteOh, the Rabbit Hole...I know it well:)
I hope that your week has gotten off to a good start. Mine? Not so much but I am hoping for a mid course correction!
Take care,
Libby
Lovely post Debbie! Love your painting and as always I enjoy seeing what photos you posted...lol. Have a wonderful day!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful there Deb. Unfortunately, the heat and humidity are keeping me inside. It is either out early in the morning or late at night. I need to get a move on the creative life. I've been taking too many naps.
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie, I’ve just emerged from the rabbit hole to tell you the rain has finally arrived in our corner of Somerset (UK), and the garden is very glad of it. Thanks for making me smile with your words and lovely photographs. Enjoy your free time. Hugs Barbara
ReplyDeleteYou mean today isn't Sunday? :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
No worries, Debbie! When it comes to blogging I'm often behind schedule! We, too, had our first REAL rain of the monsoon season. It rained ALL night cooling the air and giving the thirsty plants much needed water. Listening to the rain while I'm comfy and relaxed is so restful and restoring. I treasure those times as I know you do!
ReplyDeleteWonderful garden -- and yes, indoors when it's so incredibly hot ... enjoy all those veggies .. and stay cool (if possible!)
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone, Debbie. Many of us are like the White Rabbit running back and forth and checking our pocket watches. Your beautiful peaceful pictures are sure to help us slow down a little. :)
ReplyDeleteRain is such a blessing ! Love your hollyhocks, I sowed some this spring, but I think they won't show until next year , a wonderful flower !
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, so nice to see your post. You know, my grandmother had a plaque on her wall that read "the hurrier I go, the behinder I get." It sounds like that was your day. Not to worry though because somehow time for everything comes around. Glad you could sit and catch up on your reading. How was the book? Any words of wisdom to share?
ReplyDeleteDebbie ,I fall down that rabbit hole so much, sometimes I feel like I am stuck down there, you my dear are always a blessing. Love, Diana
ReplyDeleteLove your painting-as always! I'm so glad you are taking the time to relax...
Gros bisous 🌸
What a good idea to Blog on a set day. I must try doing that. Everything in the garden looks so happy after rain. When the sun is out I like to be out too. If only it just rained at night Debbie ! Marion x
ReplyDeleteI love those hollyhocks--everything looks so pretty. Hope you're enjoying your summer so far.
ReplyDeleteCountryside, summer and art...Sigh....
