July's Colors

Here at Harmony Hills the colors of July are making their debut.

Brilliant burgundies and peachy hues harmonize with subtle blue greens.

Buttercup yellows...

Soft pinks...

as well as brilliant oranges make this month's color wheel vibrate.

Oh and lets not forget lavender.  It is needed to complete the show.

Hope you enjoyed seeing July's palette of colors.

Unfinished Paintings and Dreams

Unfinished Painting
With a rainy weekend here I found myself going through a stack of unfinished paintings.

There is quite a pile unfortunately.   Some have been put aside because  inspiration or enthusiasm for the subject has waned.   Others are big oops but the backs can be used for practice.
Then there are those that given a fresh perspective might become a finished work.

So it is sometimes with one's dreams.   There may be some that didn't get fulfilled because the desire was lost.  They were a passing fancy.  Possibly others didn't work out because they were not right for you.
Yet not all are lost.   There is always a dream or two that given the proper time and care could blossom into a beautiful reality.

Hope my friends yours will!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon.

There was time to wander and check out what was blooming along the fence rows.

Multi -flower rose is at its peak giving off its beautiful fragrance.

Purple clover mixes and entwines with the blackberry bushes.   By the looks of things there will be plenty of berries this summer.  I am certain there will be a pie or two!

These tiny white flowers remind me of Baby's breath.  They make a lovely low growing ground cover.

Lazy Sunday afternoons make a perfect time to take a stroll on the wild side.

I think these two thought so.

Hope you did too.   Have a blessed week.

Baptisia is reaching to touch the sky.

 Foxglove starts to show

as bleeding hearts go.   I am going to miss May's flowers.   How about you?

Here is wishing everyone a wonderful June.

Memorial Day

Tomorrow in America many will gather to celebrate Memorial Day.  There will be picnics and cookouts as well as parades and special ceremonies.  It is my hope that each of us will take a moment to remember our faithful men and women who have served in the military.

Many have paid a costly price so that we can be free.

Have a blessed week!
