Like a Lion

As you can see from the above photo...March came in like a lion.  Hope that it means it will leave like a lamb!

We even received a skiff of snow.

Our morning walk was quite cold.  Certainly felt the temperature change.  Yesterday was 52 and sunny.

Will be glad when this underbrush turns green and leafy.

In the meantime am keeping busy.   I have started following Leslie Stroz on You Tube.  She just posted a video of 100 small paintings.  It is a challenge she began in February.  I started March 1st.  Am hoping to complete this plan by this time next year.  Will keep you posted on my progress.

Let me know if any of you decide to follow Leslie's goal of 100 small paintings in a year.  I think it will be fun and manageable.

Thanks for stopping to visit.  Did your March come in like a lion?

Hugs

Debbie

  1. My morning of the first day of March came in like a lamb...sunny and warm with the temperature about 55 degrees. Then by the afternoon it was a lion...windy and cold, and I was painting outside with all the layers of clothing I had brought along including my fingerless gloves. lol
I like her idea of 100 paintings, but I already do that since I do one almost every day. I hope we get to see what you paint! Have a wonderful week!!

  3. It came in like a lion here as well. Woke up to the ground covered with snow and it snowed all morning.

  4. Around here, it came in like a lamb and we greatly hope it will go out like a lamb, too. For weeks we had bitter cold and winds, and then it started to warm up and we've been reveling in spring-like days. Which is somewhat unusual for these parts, but we're embracing the warmer weather like an old friend.

Your project '100 Small Paintings' sounds delightful. I wish you unbridled delight as you begin. Look forward to updates as the weeks pass. Happy Spring, Debbie!

  5. Honestly, I am not an artist. No talent at all.
We had March come in like a lamb - oh no!

  6. What a super idea: small paintings! Wish you a great time with it! Over here: lamb and lion alternately. We had some wonderful sunny spring days, but still frosty in the night. And warmer days coming!

  9. Our March came in like a lamb, that's for sure. As for the painting project, it would take me 10 years to get 100 done, 5 if I really, really pushed myself. LOL.

  10. My morning walks have been cold but not as cold as February. Right now we are having mild temps but I think it's going back to cold once more and possibly snow.

  11. Thank you for this great post! I guess I'm starting something similiar, posted today about it. But it's not 100 and not as small as hers...Loved your description of your walk. Dramatic time of year as we start moving to spring...Be well, Love, Rita

  12. I look forward to seeing some of your small paintings as you complete them. I'm still trying to get fully moved in and our old house sold, so not committing to anything major yet. We're making slow but steady progress, so I can't wait to be able to use my creativity on something other than how to store the things I want to keep but am not sure where to put them :)
