The month of March can be such a teaser. One day is sunny and warm - the next cold and blustery.
This coming week sounds like we are having the latter. Perhaps it may be a good time to catch up on my list of books to read before spring chores begin.
For anyone wanting to read a book on prayer - highly recommend this one.
The other book is by Kate Morton called "The Lake House". It is a suspense novel that spans 70 years. Have always enjoyed something written that pulls the past into the present.
Last but not least is another novel by Hallie Ephron "Never Tell a Lie". The last two that I read by her kept me turning the page...don't think I will be disappointed by this one either.
Well with all that reading, must not forget my sketchbook.
Hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Hugs
Debbie
"Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me." Psalm 86:6-7 (NIV)
Reading is hugging with words.

Here in the Netherlands we say: "March showers bring April flowers." Or: "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." On Saturday we had snow. Now on Monday we have 14 degrees and a storm. It's changeable, but fun. I just read your blog and enjoyed it. Beautiful psalm at the end. And then your sketchbook... Thank you for writing your blog and lots of love from me.
ReplyDeleteDear friend-your sketchbook is wonderful! You have always inspired me to paint and draw. We are getting possibly a foot more of snow. Sam goose is not happy!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love seeing what you've been sketching. I'm not sure what they are forecasting for the weather here. Last I heard it was a "nor'easter" but that may have changed. Looks like you have a lot of reading material to keep you busy. Have a great week and a Happy St Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteThat's a special thing to write down prayers - kind of like a prayer journal. I know what you mean about March's weather being unpredictable. We had a big snow, then the sun came out, and now we are supposed to get rain! What a pretty sky photo you have shared, Debbie. Happy St. Patrick's Day. : )

You are right about the weather! Love the sketches. Wow.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful sketchbook pages! Absolutely gorgeous. I hope you enjoy the Lake House - I galloped through it - it is so good. Best wishes for a cozy week.
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK we're having crazy weather too with the driest February for 30 years. We say "March winds and April showers bring May flowers and June bugs". Seeing your sketchbook reminds me of just how little time I've been spending with mine. I must rectify that.
ReplyDeleteGood mix, books and brushes, I am behind reading, now the brushes have me busier than I thought.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Best regards.
No matter what the weather, there is always something pleasurable to do :) Hope you get a little extra time for reading and sketching between doing those spring chores.
ReplyDeleteLove your bird sketches!! Enjoy the books. Sending love from rainy Holland.
