August's Treasures

Here are some of August's Treasures.
 Morning Sky

Rose of Sharon
A Hummingbird favorite!

Color Changes

Joe Pie Weed - Goldenrod - Iron weed
Great trio!
Morning Glories & Veggies Galore!
There are the sweet sounds of the Crickets chirping and the locust song...

Foggy mornings and warm sunny afternoons.

These are but a few of August's treasures.
Hope you enjoyed them.

Hugs Debbie

  1. Your veggies look so good and you took a beautiful photo of the Rose of Sharon. I didn't know that it was a Hummingbirds favorite!!! Thank you for sharing Debbie... Always a treat!!

  2. Just so lovely...I do get a little sentimental in August, thinking about summer. But I also love the fall-there is so much beauty in all the seasons. Please give the doggies a big hug for me....

  3. It's good there Deb. What a lot of vegs you're still harvesting...

  4. Wow, I've never seen hummingbirds visit our Rose of Sharon. Our birds must be finiky. LOL Lovely shots. August is going fast; we have some turning leaves too.

  5. Lovely harvest, Debbie! Your photos are beautiful!

  6. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures! One of my favorites is the purple Morning Glories & Veggies, so vivid against the green. I didn't connect Rose of Sharon with hummingbirds either, good to know. We grow red bee balm which they seem to love. :)

  7. Hola Debbie: Realmente estas imagenes son un regalo de la naturaleza, poder deleitarse con ellas, es un regalo para el espíritu poder apreciarlas, disfrutarlas y ponerlas a nuestra disposición. Un abrazo!!

  8. Thank you for the beautiful photos
    Have a Beautiful Week!

  9. What lovely things for August! Seems like it's flying by! You see the beauty and possibilities in everything, Debbie! Thanks for sharing

  10. Beautiful treasures! Have a wonderful week!

  11. So very beautiful! Love that morning glory blue against the peppers especially!

  12. Debbie, you truly have a good eye for treasures in nature and for the evocative photos (and paintings--love the sunflowers from several posts back) you can create. I also enjoy your commentary and the gratitude it reflects. Thank you.

  13. Debbie,

Your land just looks like it goes on forever!

We have some color changes happening too though they are very subtle. The leaves on the oaks don't exactly change color but they get kind of dried up and brown. The grass takes on a very tired gold brown look and much of the chaparral takes on a reddish appearance. It's all beautiful isn't it?

Thank you as always for your pictures. I appreciate it!

  14. I did enjoy them. You live in a beautiful place, and I love to see your photos.

  15. Beautiful and uplifting photos, Debbie! Those pepper look so delicious! I hope you are having a great week! Hugs

  16. It's not easy to believe that August is almost over. Beautiful photos, as always :)

  17. You have such lovely photos of your August treasures. I love how you always appreciate what is around you. Have a wonderful week my friend!

  18. Dear Debbie, your photographs are always beautiful and today’s are no exception. I love the colour of the Morning Glories against the green of the leaves, and the veggies look glorious. The Rose of Sharon is a name remembered from my childhood, although I’m not exactly sure why. I don’t recognise the plant, but I must have heard the name in a story or perhaps at Sunday school. Hugs.

  19. Hi Debbie,

You have such lovely photos. They are truly a treasure to view.

  20. August sounds wonderful here my friend!
    beautiful views and garden.
and this harvest reminds me my dear mom's garden so badly
