Sometimes a quiet rainy afternoon can be a blessing.
Yesterday was one.
Originally I had planned to do some much needed gardening.
The weather had other plans.
So instead I spent those sweet hours sketching a gathered bouquet...
reading an inspiring book...
Experimenting with a new pen the Elegant Writer...
and savoring the freshness that comes from the passing showers.
Thank you for letting me share what I did with a rainy afternoon. Hope you will do the same.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs Debbie
It has been raining cats and dogs. Son and his little family came for a rare visit. They will be moving back this summer and told me today they are having a new little one in December. So happy for them.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Glad you enjoy my little trips around Florida, just as I enjoy seeing your posts.. I can't tell you how many times you've lifted my spirits. Thank you my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon! Love the sketch of the bouquet and the sketch with the Elegant Writer. You got a nice effect! I hope the weather the rest of the week gives you some time to do some gardening. I was off painting at the New York Botanical Gardens today. The flowers and trees in bloom were just incredible. Enjoy!

I love those rainy, drippy days when it's wet and chilly and not a day to be outside, and I tell myself it's okay to put some chores aside. You made some good choices, Debbie. A delightful post!
ReplyDeleteThose rainy days do make good days to enjoy inside and create something pretty, as you've done! And the garden will wait! ha ha
