wip |
I have been busy painting the last couple of weeks.
Seems like when the spring flowers start blooming I want to get my brushes moving.
There is always inspiration to be found growing near by.
Shades of pink...
Azaleas |
Johnny Jump Ups |
Tulips & Virginia bluebells |
and bright yellow will make one's palette certainly sing.
Ah what would we do without beautiful flowers to inspire??
Hope all of you are enjoying some today as well.
Have a blessed week.
Hugs Debbie
Happy May Day Debbie! Your drawings and painting are just gorgeous! The photo of the tulips is so bright and cheerful too! I'm so happy we are finally going to have some sunny days this week, hope you have the same lovely weather!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how inspired you get when you see such beauty. I cannot paint but I will usually try to capture the fleeting beauty of flowers with my camera.
ReplyDeleteall of your sketchbook pages look so pretty especially all gathered together like that :) and flowers are such an inspiration aren't they. right now i have roses and pansies blooming which makes me so happy.
ReplyDeletehope your having a great week

Dear Debbie
ReplyDeletePainting flowers teaches you to be observant doesn't it - I can see that you have been looking carefully at your subjects which have turned out beautifully.
Hi Debbie, your flowers are so beautiful. Your talent is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful new week ahead.
Hello Debbie. Lovely paintings as always I always enjoy seeing your work,
ReplyDeleteI really do intend to find, no I mean make time to do some painting again. Life just seems to get in the way at the moment. After all the clearing up we had to do after the storm damage we are both so tired trying to get our cottage ready for the first of our visitors this week.. We are nearly at the end. so after that it's just the usual routine for the seasons letting. which starts to morrow.
Oh you too Deb. You are working hard at it with beautiful results. I find that flowers are difficult to paint.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you Deb -- I do the same thing. Beautiful work!! ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful and I never cease to be amazed and captivated by your artistic talent! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteA blessed week to you, Debbie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paintings
You have so much to inspire you Debbie. Your sketches look amazing, beautiful pen and ink! I love your work in progress, thank you for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteYour painting results are always so lovely! Just perfect to have flowers as your subject-you do them justice!
Hope you are well. Glad to see you painting too:)

I'm happy you are painting! Your work is inspiring me....it's so beautiful, Debbie...
ReplyDeleteLove those tulips! What pretty paintings, too. I've been terribly lax in my sketching--didn't even sketch once on my recent road trip. Took lots of pictures, though--maybe time to dig them out and make a sketch from one of them.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful painting Debbie! I hope we get to see it finished!!!! And your photos of the flowers are amazing! Love this time of the year!!!
ReplyDeleteYou WIP is stunning. what a fabulous background!! and the sketches are super... reminds me how I need to do much more in my sketch book!!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to see several of your beautiful paintings. Such sensitivity!
ReplyDeleteI have not see azaleas in quite a while so they were a real treat. And that one yellow and red tulip is a real show stopper. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy a special and blessed week, my friend.
Flowers inspire me to paint as well, Debbie! They have such incredible beauty, and I want to record that somehow. Your painting is beautiful, and you must feel such inspiration with all the flowers that grow at your home. We used to have azaleas when we lived in the northwest...such amazing colors and beauty. I haven't seen any since as the climates where we have lived don't allow them to do well. Thank you for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I can understand how you want to paint the flowers at this time of year. They are just so gorgeous. Great job on them. Love the photos too. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI see you've been busy all right. Your paintings are just lovely Debbie, you're inspired by all that beauty around you. Enjoy! :)
ReplyDelete...beautiful paintings, and I can fully understand the inspirations from the garden this time of year especially. Happy days 😊
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow flowers . because there are red lines that add beauty color. are you painting ?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paintings, Debbie, you are really spring inspired! I love the little violets!
ReplyDeleteD, I did write you an email a week ago. I'm ok. will write again.
ReplyDeleteBarbra Joan...
Your floral paintings are absolutely lovely, Debbie!!! They really are so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your wonderful comment on the portrait painting - I'm very pleased with it, too. I smiled when I read your comment about patience. I am re-reading Catherine Anderson's book, and she makes a comment to the effect - who would have guessed you'd be learning patience with learning to paint watercolor? :)
Bruno and I are doing well. Must post some pictures that my trainer took in our last lesson.
Kathryn
Painting WIP is beautiful, as are those in your sketch pads.
ReplyDeleteWill write an em again. Deb, I did get your last comment on my blog.
