Wee Bit

Am taking a wee bit of a vacation from the daily routine.   Will be back in July.

Books

Good books are a wonderful blessing.

They can shape us...

encourage us...

inspire us...

and of course entertain us.

One only has to imagine what life would be like without the written word.   How dark the world would be.

For me summer is my time to read.   After the chores are done and the hot afternoon has come - there is nothing more rewarding than a shady spot with a glass of lemonade and a good book.

I have several on my list to read this summer.  To all who have shared some of your lovely reviews - Thank You!  It is always a pleasure when we can share a favorite book with each other.

Heavens

The month of June seems to have brought a lovely view of the heavens.

Doodlewash

A few weeks ago I decided to join Doodlewash.

It is a great sight for artists to connect with others who enjoy painting with watercolor.

Tonya Lee at Scratchmade Journal was hosting a great giveaway which I was blessed to win.

There was a trio of Da Vinci paints, travel brushes from  Wild Plein, a great block of Hahnemuhle watercolor paper, and a beautiful  handmade brush holder by Aneta Kochr.  She has a lovely shop at Etsy - Nature Sketches. 

Also included in this wonderful package of goodies was a wonderful canvas bag displaying art from Scratchmade Journal.

It was like receiving a Christmas package in May! 

Doodlewash will once again be organizing World Watercolor Month in July.  This sounds like a fun event.   Charlie O'Shields began Doodlewash several years ago.   Hope you will hop over there and check out the sight as well as Tonya Lee at Scratchmade Journal.

Think I will now get busy doing some painting with those new art supplies!
