This past weekend was so delightful. The temperatures were in the 70's with the absence of humidity.
Soft summer breezes had the feel of autumn.
Goldenrod has started to dot the meadow with color.
It often grows with purple Iron Weed. They make a lovely complimentary couple.
Magic Lilies always surprise me. There are some years when they do not bloom and I even forget them. Then out of nowhere they appear. I planted them so very long ago. They came from my dear grandma's garden. Perhaps it is her way of stopping to visit me. What a delight!
Speaking of delight...these cosmos decided to make a show. What a pretty color of red.
Well these are just a few things that made the weekend delightful.
Hope you will share what brought you some delight.
Hugs
Debbie

What a beautiful place!! I love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Delightful to see your photos. We won't have a hint of fall until maybe November. Ha.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's still very hot here, it's started to feel a little bit like fall! I think it's the light, and there's been a little bit of a breeze this week, and that delights me :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful lilies! I have not seen that kind. Love to you...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, those rolling fields are a delight to see.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful end of August
Just delightful to see your pictures and read about your life a bit. It has been horribly hot here but I am praying for some Fallish weather soon. Diana
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, all those flowers! We've had our last warm (humid) days here. So, we went to the river early this morning to catch a refreshing breeze and dip our feet in the water. Our vacation is almost over. I wrote another blog on 'Kostbaar', so you're welcome there, dear friend. I'm starting again. 🌸🌞🌊
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos, it gives healthy envy to see the greenery as well as so much flower, here we go for the fourth heat wave, very high temperatures and unbearable nights, but it is what we have and we really want this season to end or at least be relieved.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Best regards.
Love the photos!! Our weather has cooled off a bit here. Last night one of my art groups met outside for our monthly meeting down by the marina in Bellport. I had on jeans and a heavy sweatshirt. That was quite a change. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your first landscape photo! And how wonderful, your grandma's lilies!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. My Golden Rod's are just coming into flower too.
Bisous bisous !
Amazing
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
That's so special that the lilies came from your grandma's garden, Debbie, and that they have lasted that long. The cosmos are such a vibrant color. And I love that first picture with all the area you have surrounding your home. It is starting to feel like Fall will be here soon. The days are cooler and the leaves on the trees are changing just a bit. Thank you for sharing this wonderful verse also.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week ahead. Isn't that something that September is already here?

Your flowers and weather are delightful! I dug up a plant from my Mamaw's Mississippi garden and kept it alive for years in a pot so I could bring it indoors in the winter, but sadly it eventually did not survive. I love that your lily is still returning every year for you.
