Here in the USA many are celebrating Red - White & Blue today. We are!
A picnic at a friend's home is planned later this afternoon. It will be quite a crowd. A lovely lady who is 92 years young hosts a 4th of July celebration every year at her lake. She furnishes the burgers and hot dogs and everyone else brings a covered dish. An amazing woman who still works as a hostess at one of the local restaurants. One would never guess her age because she certainly would fool those who meet her. Later in the evening there will be fireworks...what a great way to celebrate the 4th!
Our contribution is a black raspberry pie...
all American potato salad...
and hubby's favorite gluten-free Mississippi Mud brownies!
Thinking this fellow may want to join us. He certainly is dressed for a Red/White & Blue celebration.
Wishing everyone a very Happy 4th of July! Blessings to all my friends in other lands...may your day be wonderful as well.
Hugs
Debbie

Hola Deby!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July my good friend! We've had many years as friends in blogland! God bless you!

Happy 4th of July!!! Your photos are always great but I really love the top one of the red, white, and blue flowers. Sounds like you have a special way and a special person to enjoy the holiday with. One of my art groups has an art fair every 4th of July and although I don't usually exhibit I spend most of the day there helping out. It is great to see all the wonderful artwork and possibly do a little shopping too. One of my jobs this year was to walk around and see if any of the vendors needed help or anyone to watch their booth. So I introduced myself to everyone and got to chat with them about their work. It was a nice event! Enjoy this holiday week!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers! The photo would make a beautiful background picture. I hope you had fun at the picnic.
Have a wonderful celebration! Sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThat is something else that your friend of 92 still hosts the 4th of July celebration every year. What you brought over looks delicious. There's nothing like potato salad on the 4th, and I wish I had one of those brownies with my coffee this morning. I was just thinking of baking some myself. And that black raspberry pie, what a treat! Your homemade goodies are wonderful Debbie. And the flag looks so nice hanging at your home. : )
