Contentment

In the midst of life and all that is happening in the world finding contentment may be a challenge.

I am discovering it in the quiet of  a lovely afternoon of rest...

In the beauty of the moment that gives me time to take pause...

and find delight in a furry thief that makes me smile.

How about you?  Are you finding contentment in this time and place in the world?  Hoping you are.

Have a blessed week.

Hugs

Debbie

"...I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."  Phil. 4:11 b (NIV)

  2. Morning Deb ... yes, the more we are 'still' - the more grateful we can be -- I find myself giving thanks for the smallest things these days-- what a gift ... hope your week is terrific!

  4. Yes, the quiet of a lovely afternoon always brings contentment. Isn't it funny how the squirrels seem to enjoy the birds' food too. The pink flowers are so pretty, and such a soft color. How fun for your dog that he has all that space to roam.

This verse is very special. And a wonderful reminder. Have a nice week, Debbie.

  7. Your words and photos bring so much peace to this crazy world we are living in right now. Thank you for sharing love and light!
I'm in from taking a break working in my garden and I'm reinspired now to get out there and get done so I too can get a breather this evening... You know how it is... that delight when things are done and you're on the porch with a glass of ice water taking it all in... those squirrels and birds and special sacred little moments... the pause.

  11. Oh my-such an apt post for me. I feel I am in a wilderness phase right now, but I also see God doing things that wouldn't be the same if I weren't in such a place. A good dog (or two) or a goose (!) are always nice for hugs. It's also very good to have blog friends.

  12. Finally we're having wonderful weather to relax and enjoy everything around us... thank goodness, no masks needed in the backyard...lol I only wish my Bambi (chi/weenie) is doing well in the vet getting treatments for heartworm. I'll be better tomorrow when I pick her up...praying she's okay. Sending you hugs, my friend!!

  15. Thank you for this place of peace :). I am so very lucky to have a safe and comfortable place to retreat to when needed. Is the pink flower a peony?
