First Days of May

The first days of May were filled with wonderful happenings.

These Azalea bushes donned their beautiful blooms to usher in this merry month.

Then guess who returned...

the sweetest little visitor.    I know he will be staying a while.

This wee one made his first fledgling flight.   He had a rough start - landed hard but as you can see  managed to make it to a branch for safety.

Shelby and Schindler kept a careful watch to make certain he was fine.

I got busy and bottled up some spring...Dandelion/Rhubarb Jelly.   When winter arrives this delicious treat will be a great reminder of the early days of May.  (Might not last that long - lol)!

To finish...

saved the best til last...
Hubby built this special flower cart with his own two hands.  Me thinks he is a "keeper" for sure!

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their visit this week.   If the rest of the month remains this full - May will fly by fast.  Let's make a plan to savor it.

God Bless!

Debbie

  6. A lovely post, Debbie! Your azaleas are so beautiful. We used to have them in Washington State, but they cannot take the Arizona sun here. I love the cart! The big wheels are charming, and it's mobile so you could put it in different places. What a nice thing to make for you! Colorful birds! Bet they're busy this time of year.

  8. It looks like you had a lovely start to May. I am curious about the azaleas. Are they perennials? I like to get plants that will come back year after year rather than spend money on ones that only last one season. Have a lovely week.

  11. That pink Azalea bush is so lovely. And what a sweet yellow bird. The flower cart your husband made is thoughtful and he has a talent for sure. Oh my, homemade jelly sounds so good. I just bought strawberry jam, but it's not the same as canned jams. I always love to see canning cause it seems no one does it any more. Your dogs are beauties. You live in such a pretty area. I smiled when you called May a merry month. I'm a bit partial to it, as it's my birthday month. ; )
