Memorial Day

Tomorrow in America many will gather to celebrate Memorial Day.  There will be picnics and cookouts as well as parades and special ceremonies.  It is my hope that each of us will take a moment to remember our faithful men and women who have served in the military.

Many have paid a costly price so that we can be free.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."  John 15:13 (NIV)

Have a blessed week!

Hugs Debbie

  5. It is a privilege to honor them -as it is a privilege to be a citizen in the country they fought and died for. I do not take it lightly and am proud to have a son who served.
Thank you for this meaningful post, Debbie.

  6. We don't have Memorial Day in the UK but we do have Remembrance Sunday which is a rather solemn affair compared to yours. Nevertheless we still hold it in the same regard.

  19. It is a wonderful way to remember those who have fallen in war(s). In the Netherlands we remember on May 4, the day before Liberation Day on May 5.
