May'sFlowers

The daffodils, tulips and bluebells have given way to the last of  May's flowers.

Irises and Peonies are now in full bloom.

Baptisia is reaching to touch the sky.

 Foxglove starts to show

as bleeding hearts go.   I am going to miss May's flowers.   How about you?

Here is wishing everyone a wonderful June.

Hugs Debbie

  3. Beautiful!
Missing the irises the most. Mine won't bloom this year because of the transplanting. I see plenty out and about, and lovely pictures like yours.

Does anyone know the name of the iris that smells like bubble gum?

  9. I love your May flowers, Debbie...I would miss them, too. I'm enjoying my orchids, some pentas and a number of native Florida wildflowers. These should bloom all through summer, so I am very lucky.

  10. I am always sad to see the spring flowers disappear, makes me realize how fast time goes. But Iris's and Peonie's are so beautiful they almost make us forget that it once was spring :-) Love your painting of a daffodil, your colors are always so fresh and harmonious ! xx

  12. The last two days are sunny, so if I get past that, I'll enjoy whatever are left after the deluge.

  13. All my favorite flowers are here. I wish the foxgloves were longer lasting, they are so majestic and fun to paint. You must be a few weeks behind us, all of these flowers have come and gone here in the Southeast climes.

  18. Hi Debbie,
It is good to be back... Thank you so much for your visit and kind thoughts..
This was my first attempt at needle felting a boot.. Was quite the challenge, but enjoyed it, and it made a great Chateau for the mice.

I love all the beauty here... Especially your peonies... I tried growing them years ago, but no luck... So good to view your beautiful work again.. Love the painting.

  22. Happy June, Debbie! Love your collection of flowers. It seems like the ones that appear in May have such a short life and are gone just when you really start to notice them. I have tried my best to paint a few of them. Enjoy your day! We have been having 2 days of much needed rain...enough to keep me from painting outdoors. lol
