I went in search of Winter's friend. I didn't go far. She had paid us a visit overnight covering the land in white.
Each branch was iced with delight.
I soon spotted that others had come to greet this visitor as well. They appeared glad for her magical spell.
Winter has many friends but the purest I know is the one called snow.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed meeting my winter friend! God Bless.
Beautiful photos. I love the sparrow and cardinal hanging out on a branch like they are best buddies.
ReplyDeleteIt is snow here again today a light steady snowfall. I see squirrel tracks to and fro and the neighborhood cat's trail hugging the hedgerow.
Best wishes to you and yours for a fantastic New Year!
Beautiful photos, Debbie. It's nice to see winter and snow that way, as a friend.
ReplyDeleteLove, Debra

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, and I love those birds. I miss the snow,(I grew up in Colorado)and there isn't a lot of it in North Carolina, so I just love your photos of that winter wonderland.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you,
Jenni
Hi Debbie. Such lovely wintery photos. All we have at the minute is rain and lots of it. I'd swap that for your lovely crisp clean snow any day. Best wishes for 2013 to you all. Take care. xx

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed it very much. We've had only a small dusting or two here this winter.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!!! I love one with the cardinal. We had a touch of snow...just enough to show on the grass, cover parts of the windshields, and make the roads slick. Nothing I could paint! Enjoy your white. It looks like it is a bit of peace for the day! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so very beautiful Debbie. Wow. Happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, the snow looks super, love it as long as I don't have to stay out till I get frozed in it. Hope your keeping warm...

Lovely photos and text ! Wish you a wonderful New Year ! xx
ReplyDeleteIt is so BEAUTIFUL.I grew up in Colorado, where we had snow up to our chins. But here in Tennessee, it is a real treat when it suddenly appears, which isn't too often. I read somewhere that "snow covers a multitude of sins", in the landscape. It does seem to purify all it's surroundings. Sending you Joy in the New Year, and many happy hours of painting!
ReplyDeleteAny friend of yours is a friend of mine...including winter :)Your photo's show the beauty of winter....and it's peace.
ReplyDeleteI love our friend wearing her beautiful white clothes. Stunning pics

Happy New Year Debbie! Your pictures are wonderful. All our snow had melted by Christmas day, but it is very cold. I am making sure my birds are well taken care of. We don't have cardinals here. They are gorgeous. Here's to a great 2013. 2012 was great because I got to meet you and your great blog.
