So many this past week experienced the winter storm, Fern. She arrived here around 3:am Sunday morning and kept us busy shoveling snow. We received over a foot of the white stuff. Unfortunately for others they had ice which put thousands out of electricity. With freezing temperatures and no heat this storm was extremely dangerous. Praying power is being restored and things are getting better for all those folks in the south.
that is squirrel patrol.
The visitation of our winter guests was quite entertaining and made the day more fun with their cute antics.
Also was happy to see they left enough sustenance for our bird friends to enjoy.
Winter storms can be harsh but they help remind me of so many blessings that often go unnoticed.
May everyone be safe.
God Bless!
Debbie
"Without warning a furious storm came...the disciples went and woke him (Jesus, who was sleeping), saying, "Lord, save us!"...He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" The he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm." Matt:8:24-26 (NIV)
Wow, Debbie, you sure did get a huge amount of snow! Loved your photos of all the critters, too. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I'm glad you're Ok with the storms that are crossing throughout the states. We are Ok in California where I live, and we are supposed to get snow in February, one of our coldest months. Your dogs look like they are keeping watch and curious at the same time. That first photo is lovely of the wintery scene. wow, you received a foot of snow! Try to stay warm through it all, Debbie, and Yes, that hot cup of coffee makes all the difference in the world. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Your art is so beautiful! This was a very rough storm for so many. Glad you were able to get dug out-and warmed back inside-hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are ok-I have been heartbroken about those without power-it's so hard when it's this cold. Your dogs are so beautiful. Your art is amazing always.
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie, I am glad that you are alright. Your dogs are adorable, your snow photos are gorgeous! Your artwork is absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteYour flower watercolor is GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you made it through the storm alright.
I feel so bad for people still without power - we were out for about ten hours, and it was very uncomfortable.
You are so far north - I am surprised you have birds and they didn't fly south - except that it would have been icy.
Squirrels too?
And the pups - did they like all that snow?
Awww, beautiful snow and animals. Love the dogs at attention. Your paintings are gorgeous. We got cold and some ice, no outages in our family in Texas. Stay warm this weekend again.
ReplyDeleteI always have to comment on your paintwork first: gorgeous flower! I've heard of the snow in your country, I hope everyone is safe and warm. Love the dogs on patrol!
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks pretty in pictures but I've had enough of it. That and these cold temperatures. Thankfully we didn't lose power here.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the pups! We know where they want to be!
ReplyDeleteGlad you fared OK in the storm well down there. We had a bit less snow than you, and luckily I didn't have to do any shoveling. The relentless cold is getting to me, but at least we do have heat and power through it all. Stay safe and warm, my friend.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your post is just beautiful. Not only your paintings but your words. I need more of your attitude. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comforting comment. Your dogs are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much more snow than we received, I'll trade you our ice for your snow :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, so pretty to look at.
Your dogs are awesome ...
Stay warm dear friend.
Jo
