Winter may not be my favorite time of the year but there is a special beauty to be found.
The appearance of each branch coated in white lends itself to a magical fairy tale waiting to be read.
It reminds me of joyful times. Snowy days spent sled riding with my brother and making snow men. As a child I never minded the cold. It was a part of life and the charm of being young and alive.
We knew when we grew tired and wet there was a warm cup of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows waiting for us indoors. Mom would often accompany this special beverage with a plate of fresh baked cookies.
Even though many moons have passed since those precious days of childhood...there is so much joy in remembering winter days of fun and laughter.
How about each of you? Are you finding joy in this season of the year? I pray so!
Hugs!
Debbie

Dear friend Debbie 🥰
ReplyDeleteWow what a magical post with stunning winter views 🤗👍
I absolutely loved your capture and your childhood memories took me to my own heartwarming childhood memories of winter 🥹♥️
Thank you so much for such treasured sharing 🥰
You brought back some splendid childhood memories for me, too, Debbie. That first snowfall is always the most magical one of all. We had tons of snow the year we lived in Massachusetts and my brother and I never tired of playing in it every chance we got. We didn't experience much snow before living in Georgia. Blessings and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting us into this lovely memory.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your reflections on the first snowfall are beautiful. I wish I could say I’m finding joy easily right now, but at the moment I’m not. I’ve hurt my back quite badly and the pain has been overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet—these days have also shown me how much love surrounds me. I received a bouquet of flowers from my son, a sweet voice message from my daughter, and my husband has been so caring and helpful. Those small kindnesses mean more than I can say.
So even in a difficult week, I’m grateful for the tenderness of the people around me.
Hugs to you too, Debbie.
Dear Debbie, I absolutely love Winter and the snow! Christmas as well! Your photos are absolutely stunning...pure magic! Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend. God bless you.
