Colors

Gone are the brilliant colors of yellow, orange and red.  November has replaced them with shades of amber, russet and claret.  The foliage that remains is found on the sturdy oaks.  Their leaves hold tightly to the last vestige of autumn's sojourn.  They know how to finish this season well.

This week I am continuing to share my gratitude list.

The mauve sky that beckons the dawn...

morning mist that shrouds the woods...

A view of my neighbors home from our hillside...

and always your sweet visits.  Perhaps you will share a few things you are grateful for this week.

Take care and God Bless!

Debbie

  1. I like the third picture down with the mist in the trees. We had snow the other day and Monday night was a horrible drive home so I was grateful that I made it home safely.

  3. You do live in a beautiful area Debby. Wish I had more scenes like that here. I am in the city I guess you would say. I like your grateful list. I am grateful that I am a Christian, my friends, my family, given another day, and having just enough plus a lot more!

  7. Love your autumn photos. I'm grateful for my hubby, family and friends. That we can still get out some at our age and in sort of good health, could be lots worse. Thanks for you, too.

  8. Our trees are slowly fading, but there are still a few of them in town that are bright with color. Your misty morning is so pretty. And I love that first photo. It's so Autumn looking. I'm grateful for your blog friendship, Debbie. : )

  9. This week I’m grateful for a few simple comforts of my own — my electric blanket, which makes it easy to sit on the sofa with my laptop; good books that keep me company; my husband; and a hot coffee with plenty of milk. And I’ll admit I’m also grateful for potato chips with sea salt — small things, but very welcome on dark November days.

Thank you for your nice blog and words, Thankful for your blog too.

  10. Hi Debbie. Lovely photos in your post today. Thank you so much for your visit to Writing Straight from the Heart and for your comment, too. Both are always very appreciated. I am thankful to you for doing that! Plus, I am thankful for being able to surrender each day of my life to the Lord. For a lovely crystal/glass vase I got for $5 at an estate sale, for a dollhouse my daughter recently bought for my birthday gift, for the lovely scent of chai tea, and for my banjo and guitar! There. There are a few things I am grateful for but there are hundreds more! Sincerely, Susan
