As October comes to a close I find myself working a bit more on art projects and diving into a new stack of books.
On a lighter note...Karen White has written a new book. I can hardly wait to dive into this one. She is one of my favorite authors.
"The Summer House" promises to be another good book by Lauren K. Denton. Her "Place to Land" kept me turning the page as I believe this one will do the same.
Last but not least a couple of art books I was able to order from our lending library. Lindsey Bugbee has an on-line presence under the name The Postman's Knock. She is a superb calligrapher and am excited to see that she now is a published author. "Drawing Flora and Fauna" hopefully will keep me inspired as we start to fall into colder weather.
Well thank you all for taking time to stop by and visit. Hope the last days of October are kind to each one of you.
On a side note my baby brother turned 65 today. Wow that makes me feel a wee bit old! (LOL)
Hugs
Debbie
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is there your heart will be also."
Matt:6:19-21
Beautiful art, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteFor where your treasure is there your heart will be also." - I love that verse in the bible - so true.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize until lately what a good artist you are - the paintings are really nice. I have no artistic talent.
So, do you buy all those books? $$ or get them from the library.
I will have to look up John MacArthur.
Happy Birthday to your brother. Looks like you've found some good books to read.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your brother! Enjoy the books!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie, for sharing your gorgeous art and the book suggestions with us here today. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm behind as always. Enjoy your reading, looking forward to your new art.....
ReplyDeleteThat Calligraphy book sounds delightful. You know, I learned Calligraphy many years ago, and it's such a pretty type of font. Happy Birthday to your brother, Debbie. I hope he had a wonderful day. As October comes to an end, I hope you have sweet November days.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you are all set for winter with these books and plans to delve into calligraphy, too. Happy end of October/Halloween - here’s hoping you have many beautiful autumn days ahead - Rhonda Carpenter

ReplyDeleteVocê já está preparada para o inverno, se aprofundar
em caligrafia acho tão lindo as letras.
Boa entrada de mês e obrigada pela visita.
janice.
Looks like you have a lot to help occupy your time in the near future. I took note of the books you listed. I've been very happy with most of the ones I find you have been reading in the past. I hope the move from October into November is a good one. We finally are home from Venice. I still have a few more paintings from there to post. Have a great Sunday and start to your week.
