I have been anxious for the anemones to bloom. They are small but that lilac color with the complimentary yellow center makes them a favorite of mine.
As spring unfolds, Ice Folly daffodils are making a show. These were planted many years ago and as you can see they continue to flourish.
The butterfly daffodils have opened up. There are many different species in this category. The yellow ones are the very first to bloom. More will come later.
Planting bulbs in the fall reaps a lovely reward when this time of the year rolls around.
I am anxiously waiting for the Virginia Bluebells and tulips to visit. It will not be long now.
How about you - what are you anxious to see arrive? Hope you will share.
Hugs
Debbie

We are covered in fresh snow that fell over the last two days. So until we dig ourselves out again, it will be a wee while for the spring bulbs to start appearing around here. As the snow melts it will be lovely as it seeps into the warming earth and wakes up green one morning. Thank you, Debbie, for your lovely photos of spring.
ReplyDeleteWow, all those daffodils are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI just bought seed for bluebells says from England not bred with another bluebell so I am hoping I can get them grow from seed-its a process I love you daffodils-hugs
ReplyDeleteAll those flowers are just GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I was gifted seeds for nasturtiums. Hope they will thrive in pots for my balcony.
ReplyDeleteThat row of daffodils is beautiful. It looks like nature is all around your neck of the woods. I have only seen a few yellow daffodils getting ready to open, and it's raining today. Our Spring comes later here. To answer your question, I'm anxious to see my family soon. I look forward to seeing your Virginia Bluebells. They sound so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week ahead, Debbie.

I've never seen those Butterfly Daffodils before - they're stunning!!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to see what is blooming around you. We still have very little in bloom here, although there are some daff that are almost ready. I am waiting for the forsythia to start to bloom. The abundance of yellow makes me smile. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to be done with snow. Another snow and ice storm here today. Yuck. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie, thank you so much for your prayers for safe travels. I appreciate that very much. It's only a three and a half hour drive, but I don't do well with freeways at this stage in my life. ; )

What a lovely thought and scripture you shared. God is always my first place to turn to calm my anxious mind. It's funny, I actually got a new cabinet painting last week and just changing up my kitchen space has made me feel a little better. Thanks for sharing your beautiful writing.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to warmer days where the lows are above freezing, green grass and wildflowers. Instead I look outside and white, I know it will be gone soon, but there is so much to do out there, I am anxious!
