We have an Arctic blast coming our way...may be eating quite a bit of soup in the coming week. (LOL)
How are you spending your time these winter days? Hope you will share. Hugs Debbie

I love watching the woodpeckers here too It is soup weather for sure I made a potato-clam chowder today stay warm hugs
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing my nice warm sweaters, eating warm soup, and working indoors or sketching from my mobile studio. This coming week may be too cold to bother venturing outdoors at all. Stay warm and well, my friend.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a hot bowl of soup on a cold day. We've got some really cold temps coming here as well. I'll be doing as little as possible and curling up under a blanket on the couch.
ReplyDeleteWinter is pretty harsh here right now but I don’t need to go anywhere so staying inside, reading, painting, creating, watching the Australian Open tennis tournament. Nothing special but it makes the days go by until spring…we still have inches of snow on the ground (I just dug up the big pile of snow at the end of the driveway yesterday - snowplow comes through and pushes everything towards us and we are getting too old to be doing this!). This time next month, I won’t be feeling sore :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, warmth for the body, beauty for the senses, and rest for the soul. Thank you my friend.
ReplyDeleteThat woodpecker is spectacular. Such a beauty!
ReplyDeleteWe’ve had milder weather than usual but the Arctic air is headed this way too. Guess all our walking will be indoors!
Stay warm! The soup looks tasty!! Love the woodpecker shot!

Your vegetable beef soup looks delicious. I love soups and stews during the cold winter days. The red headed woodpecker is beautiful. We have the acorn woodpecker here, and they are a bit different with only a bright red patch on its head. Enjoy your book, and bundle up and stay warm. We may get some snow in February also. The verse you shared is special, Debbie. And I truly appreciate the verses you share when I visit with you.

We had potato cheese soup for dinner Friday night, because it's actually cool in Florida! Simple pleasures of the season.
ReplyDeleteGray and foggy days over here, and longing for a little sunshine. That soup makes me hungry! Stay warm, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are cozy and warm. We have a couple of winter days coming here in Central Texas. Time for beans and chile.
Bisous bisous,
Martine
Beautiful bird, beautiful plumage, a good book is very relaxing, for me a good painting, here we have gone through another cold wave and now a series of strong storms but loaded with water that come in handy.
ReplyDeleteHappy week.
A hug
Stews, soups and curries here and if you are lucky custard! And a hot water bottle. How British! ;o) Is custard a thing in the US? I can't remember hearing about it in any tv shows... Warmest wishes.
