A fresh skiff of snow marked the first day of the New Year in our neck of the woods. It seemed appropriate that as the calendar turned to 2024 the ground would receive a new covering. A clean coating of white brushed the woods
and covered some of autumn's remains.
A winter landscape even on a dark day has a unique beauty.
January is a great month to settle in and enjoy those gentle days that come after the holiday rush.
It affords some extra time to reflect on what is important...watch the birds...take long walks...read a good book or two.
Hoping each of you are finding some quiet moments to meditate on the coming New Year.
Hugs!
Debbie

Even a light covering of snow gives the feeling of a new start to the days ahead. Wishing you a 2024 filled with hope, joy, peace and good health, my friend. Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely looking forward to some quieter moments. I purpose each year that I should hibernate the first six weeks of the New Year. I hope you have a wonderful 2024.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful to see snow! It seems to keep raining here, hence the high waterlevels in our rivers. I love January: some quiet times after the holidays. Happy New Year, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness...everything looks so cold!
ReplyDeleteStay warm up there!
hugs

I'm not real fond of snow but I must admit it sure does look pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet Debbie, Happy New Year!! You, too, have a fabulous 2024. What a cold weather! (We're in the middle of a summer.) Please stay warm and healthy. ((Hugs)) Sadami
ReplyDeleteI love the snow! We only had a few hours of it this past Saturday. It was melted by the next day. It seems too often it's too much or too little.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful are those images with snow, also at this time of year they are like a tradition, around here it is said that "year of snow, year of wines" hopefully it will be so for everyone.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
I just got back from a two week trip, so now I'm just settling in the comforts of my home, and we got some snow too. Your snow pictures are so pretty, and it's heartwarming to see the snow on my friends' blog during the Winter months. : ) Have a blessed week, Debbie.
