Sharing some March happenings in my part of the world.
We are seeing blue skies with sunshine after a long dark winter.
Black-capped chickadees regularly show up for lunch.
Also sparrows gather waiting to get their fair share.
Even this flock of wild turkeys made a quick visit.
On another subject this month's bookshelf has two books I am reading. Both authors are new to me. Will give an update when finished.
Have finally returned to the studio to do some sketching and painting. It has been a while. Thinking spring's arrival will help bring some needed inspiration.Well friends this is some of March's happenings at Harmony Hills.
Hope you will share what is keeping you busy this month.
Hugs!
Debbie

I love your artwork Debbie! I'm longing for warmth from the sun, but I'll take those lovely blue skies! Looking forward to seeing more of your art!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the sky, Debbie, and I love the little chickadees.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is so beautiful! I am glad you are back in the studio.
Will await an update on the books. Enjoy your reading.

Lovely photos and how wonderful that you are able to have some time to sketch and draw. I thought I would have more time to read but have not seem to have found the extra time to do it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful week! xo Diana
Thanks for sharing what is happening in your part of the world. It has been sunny, but rather cold her...March is in like a lion. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures -- how did you like the book???
ReplyDeleteI am also eager for all the signs of Spring! Despite being in the 20s at the moment, we have daffodils tips pushing up from the earth, birdsong early in the morning, and sunlight longer into the evening. These will have to sustain me until next month when I can start redesigning some of my flower beds. I love your drawings, as always. ❤️
ReplyDeleteTurkeys are fun to see scurrying around. Lovely photos. Good to see you back in your studio
ReplyDeleteOh, is that a sketching of a hummingbird? I have one on my post today, as it's my beloved bird. You have such a talent, Debbie. That little black-capped chickadee is so cute, and what a lovely picture that is. I hope you enjoy the book you're reading. I love seeing all the seasons around your neck of the woods. It's still very cold here in the mountains, and I think that Spring comes a bit later here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful verse this is that your shared. Have a blessed week, Debbie.

Looks like March is starting out to be a good month. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the photos. Love it. The turkeys :)
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back Debbie. Nice to have some inspiration for sketching. I have been in the garden the past few days. It has been unusually warm. I am taking advantage of the beautiful weather. I just love turkeys. They are so regal acting. It is fun that they have made a come back. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely here, the Forsythia is blooming everywhere in gardens and balconies in Milan . Always love to see your beautiful artwork !
ReplyDeleteLove your artwork, Debbie! I'm planning to sow a lot of flowery plants for my summer balcony.
ReplyDeleteI just love Chickadees. Hope you're doing well!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches Debbie! I’ve been trying to sketch a bit more and now with the milder weather coming I’ll be able to get some reference photos... for future portraits... I heard the birds chirping for the first time this morning and it was such an amazing sound! Spring is just around the corner
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie, comes March and with spring, we come out of the winter lethargy, I hope to resume wanting to paint and work, because winter, confinement and pandemic have caused you to lose interest in brushes.
ReplyDeleteGood sketches, let this be the return to keep painting.
Best regards.
SUPER SUPER!! LOVE THE SKETCHES AND THE SIGNS OF SPRING! WE TOO HAVE BLUEBIRDS IN OUR BLUEBIRD HOUSE!
