Is it Here?

Snowdrops

At Harmony Hills we have been asking is it here?  Has spring sprung?

Well it may be too early to say but here are a few signs to be found.

These wee snowdrops are blooming...

Crocus
The crocus are beginning to open...

Blue Scilla
and these little blue scilla are starting to bloom.

All three are good indications that spring may be here soon.

Hope those who are weary of winter are seeing some of spring's promises too.

Have a lovely week.

Hugs Debbie

  1. Debbie,
I love crocus, I grew them years ago. They are so pretty. It sure does look like spring here. You have all three blooming.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving such a sweet comment.
Yes, no smell, that does make her one of kind for sure!
    Enjoy your evening,

  2. Debbie, what gorgeous blooms! And I don't know if Spring is here or not yet, but here in Montreal we definitely had a beautiful and mild week...the cold is coming back, though, which is to be expected, as it is still February. We did make record breaking warm temperatures, though, for this time of year! I just feel so blessed to be living in a place where I can enjoy and celebrate the four seasons. Thank you so much for sharing, my cherished friend. I hope you have a wonder filled week ahead! Hugs. :)

  3. Lovely photos
I dare say I think there's more of winter to be than I care to think about. I'm looking at flower pictures and blogs overseas to help keep the Spring feeling blooming. :)

  6. Lovely photos, Debbie. Perfect spring shots!

And yes, we are experiencing some springtime weather here in Eugene, OR. In fact, we experience it about once a week throughout the winter season. The plants don't know what time it is, but it's pretty here - really green.

Looking forward to more photos from Harmony Hills.

  9. You must be warmer than us-we don't have flower signs yet, but our red wings and grackles are back. Every morning I hear the blue birds. I guess here the birds are showing us it's spring! Love to you, and hugs...

  10. Debbie,

It certainly looks Spring-like! Our wildflowers are starting to bloom here as well. I have seen some little poppies and some little yellow buttercups. There are tiny red flowers low to the ground as well as some bell shaped purple flowers. (Not up on my botany!)

Hope all is well. Warmer temps will be here soon:)

  11. How I wish we had snowdrops here. Your story brought back such appy memories of my mother always looking for them in England and how excited she would be when their shoots would pop through the soil. A sign Spring was here. They would be placed in a tiny Waterford crystal vase on the windowsill and if the morning sun would actually shine, then the colors from the crystal would bounce off the walls. That excited me more than the snowdrops.
Thanks for the great start to the day. Have a truly blessed week, my friend.

  12. Hi Debbie, how sweet the little flowers are making an appearance. We had frost on the car windows this morning. That's a change for us. Lots of sunshine again today. Enjoy those blooms. My garden is still under about a foot of snow but it is evaporating pretty quickly.

  13. The first signs that the weather means spring even if our calendar says not yet (we had a cold spell for just 2 days with flurries and then little snowballs that looked like tiny white pellets). Now, warming again so I know spring is coming - neighbors' trees blooming out and I'll keep an eye out for the forsythia.

  16. Spring seems to have arrived here already. It got quite warm and usually the almonds bloom for a while before the leaves come out. But this year they got confused and only bloomed for a few days before the leaves started showing - a pity because the blossoms are beautiful.

  22. Lovely photos of these delicate flowers. There are a few appearing here and there, especially with the mild weather we had for a few days. The time is passing so quickly, with Lent starting this week and Easter not too far off. May the signs of spring that you find warm your heart this week.
