Welcome September

Look what appeared to welcome September.   Yes a double rainbow!

With summer being so dry we had not seen this lovely sight for quite some time.

It always reminds me of God's special promise found in Genesis 9.

"I have set my rainbow in the clouds
and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind.

Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life."  vs. 13-15.

May everyone have a blessed start to September.

Hugs Debbie

P.S.  Don't forget to "look up" you just might see a rainbow too.

  1. Lovely shot Debbie. The only rainbows I've seen lately are the ones I make with the hose while watering the garden. I did get a double one too. LOL Looking forward to the cooler weather of Autumn. Mike and I started our walks now hoping to shed a few pounds before being more sedentary for the winter. Hope you have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend.

  2. They are special. I had one in my yard once. Sure wish I could find that pot of gold. Oh well, I'll just be happy with the rainbow.

  3. So pretty. I've only seen a double rainbow once--and it happened to be while I was at the barn visiting my horse. I guess he's my pot of gold!

  13. I can't wait to see a rainbow and to hear the rain. I am hoping that this winter we will be blessed with an abundance of water from the heavens as, right now, it is like a desert here.

  17. Beautiful photos once again.
We have enjoyed several double rainbows recently, but it is our monsoon season and even though it appears to have rained a lot we still are behind for the year.
Looking up - yes, dear friend, I am looking up.
