It is a familiar scene that never fails to move me. Often there will be cattle grazing on the hillside or deer in the meadow.
In the sky there may be a Red-Tailed Hawk on the wing.
Moth Hummingbird |
For sure and for certain it is a place that is close to my heart.
Do you have a special spot that inspires you to paint, take a photo, or write a poem? If so I hope you will share.
Hugs Debbie
Wow, beautiful photos and painting. Even though it's hot right now (and just about always), Florida does have plenty of beautiful places that are photo or sketch worthy.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty Deb. I seem to waiting - waiting for that special place.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I really love your art and admire and appreciate your talent! Lovely photo, too.
ReplyDeleteA blessed week to you, Debbie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures
Wow, that view is beautiful, Debbie! In my urban surroundings I like to walk to the river nearby and enjoy looking at the water and the boats.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting! Lovely photos too. You do live in a gorgeous place. I have tried to pet those sphinx moths, but they always fly away-they are so fuzzy and cute.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Debbie! What a beautiful painting and rendered so skillfully! I'm thrilled it is in PASTEL. I hope you love the medium as much as I do! It looks so peaceful - some place I'd love to look upon or walk through as often as possible. Trees are my refuge. Anywhere there is a group of trees offering shade or a place to sit and rest for awhile. So restoring. I can see why this place in your painting is special to you. How clever of you to do a painting of it so you can glance at it as often as you wish!
ReplyDeleteThe last view is very beautiful. I am usually inspired by the old city of Mdina or my the sea.
ReplyDeleteLovely kandscape!!! Nicely done. Have a wonderful week.thaks for keeping me company in Venice!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, what a beautiful place and you've done such a splendid job capturing that beauty with your pastels. Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous panorama this is, Debbie! And I must confess, I also find the tomatoes below beautiful as well. Such an uplifting post as always!
ReplyDeleteI love your landscape Debbie - very impressionistic. I used to work a lot in pastels but found it very messy and dusty to work with! You do live in a beautiful spot, no wonder that you love it so.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting! Beautiful spot too.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one favourite yet, I'm still discovering so many new places ;-)
Oh my, what a lovely landscape you live in...Patoral...Tranquil....Peace on earth...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful aquarella Debbie! I love all thoses greens and yes, you are lucky to live in such a peaceful spot. Hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI genuinely love your beautiful pastel painting. Such a peaceful scene but oh, Debbie...my heart missed a beat when I saw the incredible sunset or sunrise photo. I would LOVE to paint it. May I have permission? No pressure to say yes. I may cry, but honest...no pressure.
ReplyDeleteI was telling Carol B (above) about a British show with Martin Clune called, A man and His Dogs. Fascination stuff about the very beginning of dogs, onwards.
(netfix) Knowing you are both dog lovers I thought you may like it also. Have a wonderful and blessed week, my friend.
Really so lovely!!! The heat is still with us, though there are small signs that fall is coming ... hope you are doing well .. I've been offline most of the summer...
