OMG!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SNOWFALL -- AND THAT JAY -- ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! hOPE YOU ARE KEEPING WARM! we HAVE 70f TODAY -- GOING DOWN THE REST OF THE WEEK, BUT THE FROGS THINK IT'S SPRING AND THEY'VE BEEN CROAKING LIKE CRAZY! STAY SAFE!
Oh my, that was a lot of snow. I left the greenhouse door open for a couple of warm days and it is full of bees on the lemon trees. I had to close the door for tonite is to get cold again. Love your drawing/painting of the bluejay. He must have been wondering what he was going to eat.
Hi Debbie, What a beautiful snowfall.. Photos would make gorgeous Christmas cards. I love your watercolor. You have captured that little fella beautifully. blessings, Penny
So beautiful - I wonder if it means there is more on the way for us - the poor old plants wont know what's hit them if it does. We have had raging winds all day - almost blowing you of your feet - which is in complete contrast to last week, where I actually sat in the garden with a cup of tea and a book (with coat on) but it was lovely to just feel the sun on my face, even if only for a short while. Have a good week my friend and keep warm.
Lucky you having a blue jay visit. We do not have them here. I love your painting - although I notice you do not give it the starring role. You are so modest, Debbie and obviously prefer to showcase the stunning beauty of God's handiwork. The photos sure are beautiful. P.S. Is a large log pile under the snow?
A snow fall makes everywhere look so clean and I can almost feel the silence through your photos. I'm sure the birds like animals have that sense of the weather, Loved your sketch and painting of the Blue-jay. We don't have that Jay here in Europe ours has a pinky tinge of colour on it's chest with a tinge of blue on it's wing, but they are always in the woods around us so I would have to paint it from an image. I hope the snow clears for you soon.
It really does look beautiful and magical. The colours of the bird captured and then painted is delightful. Your first snowdrop, yes a sign spring is on its way. Keep warm.x
What a beautiful sight , just love snow , makes everything look magical ! And I see you got very inspired by the little fellow , truly lovely work as always ! xx
I have a Love/Hate relationship with "snow"......lol. I don't like it yet I think it's absolutely beautiful. Nice photos Debbie!! And wonderful drawing!
I do think these little critters really can tell when there are changes coming in the weather. They may not have the 10-day forecast, but I'll bet they can foresee one or two days ahead. Your photos are beautiful. You have captured the true beauty of snow at its finest!
Ho yes, I'm sure birds know a lot more than we think! Your pictures are simply beautiful. Nature's a glorious sight! Today we're having the same kind of weather and already I can see the red cardinal, the woodpecker and a few tits busy in the bird feeder. Love your blue jay Debbie! Whatever the weather, I'm going out today! :) Have a beautiful day, HUgs
You got quite a lot of snow! It looks so lovely when it first falls and gives everything a fresh coat of white. I love when it sits on the tree branches and trunks. Too bad that state doesn't last longer. I hope you enjoyed it for a while! Have a great week, Debbie.
How beautiful it looks! Snow is just so magical. I am glad you shared these wonderful photos.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowfall and bluejay :) Our cardinals were going crazy just before our last snow...they know so they stock up at the feeders.
