Quiet

January is my month to settle into quiet.   The simple pleasure of lighting a candle...

sipping a warm cup of tea...

passing a winter afternoon reading about others who create...

working a jig saw puzzle...

painting flowers all help me to find the quiet my soul needs.

How about you?  Is there quiet moments you are enjoying?  Hope so!

Hugs

Debbie

  9. All of these are quiet things to do on a winter day. I especially love the lighting of a candle and making a cup of hot tea. It's been pretty cold here lately, so I've been having cups of hot tea. I love that jigsaw puzzle. Looks like you completed it? Wishing you quiet and still moments in this beautiful season of winter, Debbie. Love the verse you shared too. : )

  10. You seem to have the perfect ideas on how to relax and set a calm mood. I spend a bit of time reading each day, learning Italian with Duolingo, doing a bit of chair yoga, and of course sketching or painting. Enjoy the quiet!

  13. You are so right. Quiet time is precious. I like to sketch and read. Haven't been reading as much as I should. Thanks for your reminders and your word of the year. Mine must be patience which I haven't had much of lately.
