Welcome to...

 the Gardens at Hippley Village.

Hubby surprised me last Saturday with a visit to this lovely botanical garden situated in the small town of Columbiana, Ohio.  It was established in 1997 when three acres were purchased and designed into a beautiful sanctuary for folks to just wander through and enjoy.

The gnomes greet one and summon you to look inside the small structures sprinkled around the grounds...

waterfalls are all along the path...

a Koi pond is filled with color...

Snow White and the seven dwarfs...

characters from the Wizard of Oz  make this a delightful place for children to roam...

as well a doll house filled with vintage baby dolls sitting in strollers and on rocking horses.

a train garden is close by nestled near the end of the trail.

Soft music from the 70's plays through speakers as you move around enjoying all the wonderful details that were created.

I have many more photos but will finish with this last part - 3 D brick people that pay tribute to the couple who started this project the Hippley's.

Hope you had a nice time visiting Hippley Village.  Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

Debbie

  7. I like the idea of someone buying land and then making it beautiful and sharing it to the world. What a wonderful thing to do. It was so whimsical.
That had to cost some money too with the Disney characters. I really enjoyed that.

  15. What a delightful place to visit, Debbie. The Botanical Gardens looks enchanting. I love that pink dollhouse and the Wizard of Oz statue. Oh, and the seven dwarfs figurines are so cute. I actually just watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (not the animated one) with Nel when I visited my family. The red truck with the flower bed is charming. Thanks for sharing a bit of your journey here. I look forward to seeing more.

Happy September Debbie. It's such a pleasant month.
