I am seeing the signs of summer winding down. There is a different feel to the air. Morning mists are more apparent...
Ironweed has appeared...
Strawberry vanilla hydrangea is starting to turn that lovely soft mauve...
Ripe tomatoes are on the daily menu...
Acorns and falling leaves are being found underfoot...
Yes, the signs are here...summer is beginning to wave goodbye. May all of you enjoy the rest of your week.
Hugs
Debbie
"And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years." Genesis 1:14 (NIV)
I wonder what will come next.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your photos are lovely! The tomatoes look so good! I am noticing the days beginning to get shorter. Now the sunset is just after 8 p.m. I am actually relieved, because of the extreme heat and humidity we have had, along with the wildfires, for myself I am enjoying the last few days more because thank God we got some rain, and this time the rain has brought the temperatures down.
ReplyDeleteI can take my walks in nature again!
God bless you, dear friend, thank you so much for sharing.
All these pictures are so nice, Debbie. I am starting to feel a change in the weather too. Those acorns on the ground are delightful to see. And home grown tomatoes, there's nothing like them. The picture of the misty morning is so pretty. Enjoy these days of transitioning between summer and fall, my dear.

Beautiful photos, Debbie, and they do reflect the change in the seasons. No signs of fall here in GA yet but it will be here in no time. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAll those photos - each and every one is making me jealous. You can't be saying summer is over and fall is coming in? No fall here yet. Your tomatoes look so good. Do they taste like tomatoes? I am not sure ours do anymore. You are lucky.
ReplyDeleteYes, there are signs everywhere of summer winding down here, too, Debbie. Enjoyed your photos -- the mist over the hills, that bright ironweed flower, the acorns. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! We're seeing some changes too, but slight. I'm not ready for fall to sneak in. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and sentiments. We are in the deepest of summer and will have a break of a couple of days in the low 90s this weekend. Amazing. Hope your misty mornings serve you well. Have a good transition to fall! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I feel some soft signs of fall too in my part of the world.
