Abundance

We have had an abundance of rain in the last couple of days.  To say we are very soggy is an understatement.

Chippy Chipmunk is not bothered by all the moisture.  He still manages to make his way to the bird feeder for his daily nourishment.

The flowers are happy.  These New Guinea Impatiens flourish under an abundant amount of water.

On the down side, I am hoping the seeds in the veggie patch did not get washed away.

We had several inches of rainfall in just a few short hours.  Many roads were closed on Friday due to flooding and mudslides.

June thus far has been a very wet one.

Spent some time this weekend  perusing this lovely book by Claus Dalby.  It has some gorgeous photos as well as featuring famous gardeners such as Vita Sackville-West and  Gertrude Jekyll.  Certainly a good book to enjoy on a rainy weekend.

Well hope next post I can report that we received  an abundance of sunshine.

May all of you have a blessed week.

Hugs

Debbie

"Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord."  2 Peter:1:2 (NIV)

  1. We do get so many gifts and such grace from God. All your flowers look so pretty.
I sure hope it didn't wash your garden out - is the only way to know - if it doesn't grow?

  3. Lovely photos despite all the rain. I hope your veggie seeds weren't washed away. We had some rain, but luckily it wasn't too bad. I was still able to get out to sketch before it started. I hope you get some sunshine! Enjoy the week!

  6. We’ve had a lot of rain too but not as much as you had. Wish we could share the rain for the western Canadian wild fires.

  11. Too bad we can't share the rain. We've had a little but need a gully washer to fill the ponds. I loved your photos in the end of May post and hope your day is sunny and bright. (Sorry to be behind, life gets in the way....)

  12. Your impatiens look so pretty all drenched with water. They look nice in the silver pot too. I'm glad to hear you got some rain! Lots of rain going on in Texas too. Here in California, we rejoice when the rain comes, as we always remember the times of drought. We are in good shape now, and the lakes are filled. I always enjoy your lovely posts, Debbie. Thank you for the verse today.
